Like, I read Kink Meme for gundam 00 and there was a lot more het than I'd expect to see. You're definitely not alone in feeling affinity for them.

42- I think you're underestimating the level of acceptance in fandom as a whole. No one has really been bashed for preferring one character over another. It's a huge cast as it is, and preferences vary. Just try to like what you like .

35. That's tough, and hopefully you'll find a way to appreciate the show without your friend ruining the experience for you. But, her being "musically retarded" is a bit much. People's tastes in music vary greatly, and, while perhaps improbable, it is possible that one may love a song by some band and hate another song by the same exact band.

It's less that she only likes one song by the bands mentioned, which is fine, and more the fact that she likes the song BECAUSE it's used on the show. For example, she is pretty harsh on music she knows I like (says it's total crap etc) but I guarantee you that if they had Dean rock out to it on the show, suddenly it would be OMG AWESOME. And it's the EXACT SAME TYPE of music which they DO have him rocking out to on the show, and bands he says he loves. So I feel like trashing music even though you know your "BFF" loves it and then doing a 180 and adoring it because your favourite CHARACTER likes it is just a shitty way to behave.

Likewise, she's never given me the time of day before when it came to my love of urban legends and such, and in fact has told me to shut up at slumber parties (lol high school) when I suggested ghost stories or the like. But then she turns around and says how cool the vanishing hitchhiker or Bloody Mary is in the show? Kind of pisses me off that I say something's cool for years, I get blown off (or insulted), suddenly Jensen says it on TV, and it really IS cool. That's what bothers me about it, otherwise I woudn't care at all that she's ignorant about folklore OR music. It's just that she acts like she's all that for rocking out to "Back in Black" in her car and it makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

19. I sympathize with you, since I tend to get like 2 or 3 reviews a fic at most and I know because of my pagehits on FFN that way more people are reading it, but at the same time, I read quickly. A lot of time it takes me longer to write a review than read, and most of the fic I read is rather "meh". I don't want to leave a review saying "meh", because I'm in a rather passive-aggressive fandom and there will be grudges.

29. I rather like it as well, though only post-series (I'm not quite comfortable with Edgeworth being Gumshoe's boss). Gyakuten Kenji is going to be adoooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrable! And I'm sure there'll be all sorts of subtexty moments for you, too, XD

54. GIP! To me they're the two most epic characters in the series, but it's refreshing to see someone who doesn't fangirl over Edgeworth (since most of his fangirls do it like they would over Sephiroth). Who do you like?
