Hi FS, I've been feeling a little down lately (partly personal, partly political), so could I make a request? For those of you with romantic partners or really awesome best friends and significant others, however you see them- could you reply with something about them/something they do that means a lot to you and makes you happy?

It's like, fandom and fics and fluff is good and all, but times like these I really like knowing that somewhere out there happy stories are happening for real.

My fiancee is the most beautiful wonderful person in the world!!! This weekend she came to see me for my birthday (we live in different cities and don't get the chance to visit that often), and she brought me so many beautiful thoughtful presents, including some delicious pumpkin seeds that are my FAVORITE but which they don't sell around here anymore.

My partner tolerates my terrible, awful taste in horror movies. I know it's terrible and awful, and yet I subject her to some really bad stuff because I just kind of like bad stuff and making fun of bad stuff.

And you know... she supports me and all that. She might not be so great with ~emotions~ a lot of the time, but she often believes in my abilities more than I do myself. It helps me push through when life seems tough.

My fiance is the best person in the world, the biggest dork and the best professor and the cutest lil turtle in all the land, and brave and smart and compassionate, but this weekend they/we were cat-sitting and the cat really liked them and even though they were allergic they were SO SO SO happy about how much the kitty liked them and it made me happier than I can even say.

Also they are the best at being a fiance and so thoughtful and sweet and basically they are Tops

It was my friend's birthday and he invited me (and a lot of other people) out for drinks to celebrate. I thought I would try to go out and see him for a bit because he made an effort to ask me personally as well as the facebook invite, and he said it would mean a lot to him. I (stupidly) decided to still go even though I had migraine symptoms, and when I got there the music and the smell of the bar was too much, so I had to take myself out into the garden for some quiet time and fresh air. He followed me and left his own party, and when I said I was going to go home so I wouldn't keep him away from the fun he told me I was being an idiot. We sat out there for about an hour catching up with each other's lives and remembering the crazy stuff we used to get up to. He has this way of making you feel like you're the most important and interesting person in the world to him when you talk. He's as interested in my opinions and stories now as he was 10 years ago.

My sister's name is Rachel. She has a lovely 3-month old daughter named Phoebe. For Halloween, they were... Rey-chel and Phoe-B8!

My boyfriend called me the love of his life yesterday. It just slipped out and I could see it on his face, that he was surprised abd nervous, but I kissed him and held him and called him the same and his eyes after I said it were just so lit up and soft and fond and I fucking die, I love him

I'm sick right now with a sinus infection and he's been taking care of me. Making food, making me tea, putting cold cloths on my forehead, hugging me, bringing me salt water to gargle and taking my hand and leading me to the bathroom to do it (even though...obviously i know where the bathroom in his house is) I love himmmm

My husband is my best friend and we've been married for 15 years. I'm not a very physically demonstrative person, but when we first started dating I told him how much I liked being kissed on the nose. He makes sure to kiss me on the nose every day. :)

I'm the upset anon from yesterday with the conservative friends. I've decided that I'm going to start openly reblogging anti-Trump stuff - partly because I'm tired and partly because I genuinely don't feel right sitting this one out. If they say I've been brainwashed or something, I can always say it's what I really believe and it's my blog.

(I might have do some research, though - I don't know much about Project Veritas and/or Denise Scott, but there have to be rebuttals somewhere.)

What other live-action Disney movies do you think would work? Do you think they could ever pull off a Little Mermaid one? Mermaids are so rarely depicted onscreen, I feel like it must be hard to do (pretty much the mermaid from PotC 5 is all I can think of right now).

...I just really like mermaids, ok.
