WHILE I DO SEE WHAT YOU MEAN TO SOME EXTENT last round I apped a character from an incredibly popular canon, and my app was the last app in the last batch. So. IDK

Also i've always thought that the earlybird batch gets mostly all in because we're all excited about new apps and not burned out on voting yet XD

06 - I love MisaMisa too. ^0^ A lot of people say she annoys them, but to be honest...Matsuda annoys me much more than she does! Especially in the anime, ugh. His voice (in English and Japanese) makes me want to just smack him!

16 - But I love Zero Punctuation. =(

28 - Draenaei (or however you spell it...) are super hot. Well, at least the chicks. The dudes look like giant jelly monsters. I'm a Hordefag and I think they're hot, I have a sever full of them because GUH. And their voices! *fans self* It's good for Alliance, because Night Elves are rather unfortunate looking, and Humans, Dwarves, and Gnomes are pretty much...yeah I'm not going to touch them. XD

33 - DN fandom does have pretty sweet crack. I found a picture of Light as Peter Pan and L as Wendy the other day, it was pretty amusing. A boy forever...forever....forever....

49 - I actually had something semi-long typed up here about how much I hate Avatar fandom for its ship wars...but I decided that was kind of weird so I decided not to post it. Let it be known: TENTY HATES SHIP WARS.

And also 47, first round we put up apps that are A: hilarious and likely to generate buzz for all the applications to come, B: apps that won't be duplicate apps. WE DO try to put up Awesome Apps first to get people going, but that doesn't have anything to do with identity (and we stop picking around for applications after the First Round; Second on, it's all random). My friends change their nicknames in IRC to their new characters and I have no idea who they are.

Also the last Last Round had Gundam OO, Air Gear, Reborn, Negima, and MST3K, and the First Round had a mix of popular and new and High School Musical. High School Musical. The second and third to last rounds were all ins... actually all but two rounds were all ins. :( WE DO TRY.

I think the OP means that she fell for the whole thing in The Princess Bride where William Goldman claims to be just editing a longer book by S. Morgernstern.

32. I'd think it would be better, personally. I'm considering a temporary move out of the country, and all I can think of is how much easier it would be with the Doctor. Or at least a TARDIS. No rent, no airline tickets, and best of all, I'd be able to pop back and see my friends and family with minimal effort.

38. Oh please don't! If the sane ones stay in hiding, then everyone really will think that all Rosefen are jerks.

49. I think that hatred of Maiko should be taken as a totally different animal from Zutara. Because yeah, I'm a Zutara shipper and yes, I hate Maiko, but the latter is much more because the writing just didn't gel. It was too goofy-funny. The series has a lot of funny, wacky humor, but I don't think a relationship in it should be based, even only initially, on "Hohoh, isn't this funny! They're saying stupid things as endearments!" All the other relationships (platonic and otherwise) in the series are well-done, so I hold Maiko to the same standard. It just didn't work, and all the retconning and sudden couple-ness will not make me forget how lame it started out as.
That said, Mai certainly is not a whore or any of those other terms. She's just a big, apathetic blah. It's funny. But not three-dimensional.
(Also, Kataang doesn't really bother me at all. But then, I got on that rant earlier.)

Wait, I don't even see how your whole tangent about hating Maiko has anything to do with my secret.

I don't care if people hate Maiko, and I didn't say that I did. I do think that people hold it up to weird standards sometimes, but that's another story and not really that big a deal anyway.

There's a difference between "I hate Maiko" and "Maiko makes me sick!" and it's the latter that makes me back away from the computer screen.

Now, maybe I'm the wrong person to say this, since I'm not in Harry Potter fandom proper (although I am in places Snape fans are not unlikely to be) but I've seen more people saying Snape fans suck than I've seen actual sucky Snape fans! Yes, he has his bad fans, but SO DOES EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE UNIVERSE. I guarantee you, no matter what the fandom, no matter what the character, you could find a bad fan of it, and it's not caused by one particular object of fandom, it's caused by the fact that the human race has many many idiots. There are tons of perfectly normal fans as well as the stupid ones, though, and Snape is no exception. Not saying you need to go out and support them or anything, just saying that it's kind of silly to hate one particular bunch of fans because it contains stupid people, when they all do.
