you see the ending had me bawling [it was because of Simon, entirely] i didn't even like Nia, not at all [i feel the plot could have been better without her]. the way Simon handled it broke my goddamn heart. as far as i'm concerned, she never should have happened. but still, all that Simon did to save her and then BAM she's dead.

The only times when there was all that much brown in Twilight Princess was when the area was in Twilight, which was a specific atmospheric effect designed specifically for that. Oh, and I guess in the Arbiter's Grounds but seeing as how you are in a tomb in the middle of the desert that's sort of to be expected.

Really, if Twilight Princess had a dominant color, it was black and cyan. =/

122. As a fangirl of color I appreciate the internet - and fandom by extension - because it doesn't define me. I can write and squee and do all the things I want to do without my color being an issue (unless I want to make it one... but that's a seperate discussion). Maybe it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway: being in fandom makes us many things, but "white" is not one of them. ::hugs::

I agree to an extent. I hate 'omg, i like a girl, give me attention' secrets. Yeah, categories are stupid, and even stuff like lesbians being all over the 'are you butch or femme?' thing gets under my skin, but 'what are who they are' is going to matter to some people. Just because you were born with a certain sexuality doesn't mean everyone else was. Me? I'm not into males/male character in a romantic sense. I don't make myself that way, or cling to a label, I just am that way. The fact that gender makes a difference for me does not make me less than someone who it doesn't make a difference for.

The respect needs to work all ways, in my opinion, otherwise we'll never get anywhere.

Oh, fantastic point. It gets kind of fuzzy when you're talking about tolerance, because there are people who want to be tolerant of everything - but does that mean you're intolerant of intolerance? Ugh, brain hurt. I got a sense from the secret that it was more about just being open to possibilities and not obsessively labeling yourself, though. But I could be way off base. :p
