I think I was that person (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomsecrets/172997.html?thread=64720837#t64720837) and I realize how wrong I was. Having the post necromancy brought up makes me wish someone would just come along and punch me in the face because I can never be sorry enough to make up for it.

OMG, I love those books *so* much! I admit I do like Twilight, but I much prefer Tamora Pierce as an author. I love all of her series', but especially the Protector of the Small, because that was the first one I read.

120. I think that blind item was about the guys from Gossip Girl, actually. J and J have shown no sign of moderating their relationship in any way.

Anyway, I'm tired of people going "omg, it must be so awful to be considered someone who is fucking his/her same sex co-star". It's probably a bit annoying to have people make up a non-existing sexual relationship between you and your friend, yeah, but unless you're homophobic it's not something to get offended or angry about. All those comments you get when rumours about an actor being gay appear or when a non-slasher accidentally stumbles upon RPS fic... those "Think how they must feel!", "Don't spread such hideous lies!" comments just really piss me off. Saying someone is gay is not accusing them of anything. It's not a crime or a question of character. If J2 were fucking then no, we shouldn't call them out on it because there's nothing to call out.

I may not be on TV but people have thought I was a lesbian or in a relationship with one of my female friends before (and we aren't nearly as touchy as J2). It didn't bother me the least bit and I agree that I don't understand why the poster would get angry or offended if they're not homophobic. To me, it's nothing different then people asking if I'm dating one of my male friends. If you hang together a lot, it happens. Worse accusations have been made about Jensen and Jared with females (Jensen with Jessica Simpson or Jared with his new female costar from Friday the 13th) and fans hardly ever get in an uproar about that. Same goes for het RPS written for either guys. As soon as someone starts talking about the damages that pairing Katherine Heigl with Jensen is causing, I'll listen to the problem with slash RPS.

I'd actually be really disappointed if either guy took all this bullshit to heart and wanted to change their behavior. It'd make me think less of them for taking stupid rumors so seriously.

Out of curiosity though, why do you hate him? Is it the fandom (which I freely admit is kinda... sketchy in some ways)? Personally I think he was a wasted character on Square's part - he's really an incredibly intelligent and deeply flawed character, it's just that Squeenix can't write to save its life.

... that and seriously, he is kinda hot. in his own weird psudo animu disney hybrid way.
