105: Eee! Freaks and Geeks secret! I don't ship it, but that is one of my favourite shows of all time. Freaks and Geeks and Veronica Mars are the only two shows where their being canceled really upset me. I could not understand, for the life of me, why Judd Apatow's stuff kept getting canceled. Oh well, at least he's doing good movies nowadays.

146. I love Tamora Pierce in general and Keladry in specific. It makes me happy that Pierce's heroine's are strong and flawed, and she keeps writing these girls and women without giving them all the same personalities.

151: Well, thinking Light is totally right in every way is creepy, but agreeing that he at least started with the right idea isn't too far off. Crime WAS down while Kira was around, after all. If Light was less of a crazy sociopath with his ideals, he'd almost be a legitimate hero. I can kind of understand being so angry at injustice in the world that you'd wish there was someone like Light around sometimes (who knows, even you could witness something that might make you change your mind,) but he did too many things that were genuinely evil and off-track. DN is complex, and that's what makes the characters so awesome.

I do believe he had the right idea in the beginning. But to think that he took his power and ran away with it, developing a very frightening personality scares me. I've met people who think that Light's world would be great. Yeah, it'd be great for the people who hole themselves up in their houses all day because they don't actually do anything to contribute to society. It got to the point in DN where if you didn't like pickled turnips you'd get killed off. Bit of an exaggeration, but you understand the point.

It's like when people complain about there being too much slash (or het or femslash, I guess, although I've only seen people complain about slash) or a particular pairing or something. There's enough room for everyone, fandom is not a zero-sum game, there are no pairing quotas that fic writers should have to pay attention to, et cetera.
