Which is a pretty damn pathetic basis for a relationship

118 - Hey, I'm his fangirl but I don't participate in any shipping wars. (Probably because I'm way too afraid to leave my safe little corner...) And I don't hate her - okay, I haven't seen the filler but I've seen her holding Ishida in her arms as if he was a damsel in distress or something, and that was hilarious enough to promise myself to watch the filler someday. :D

119 - I never got the appeal of the pairing (though I lol'd at "ore to koi, onna" xD), but hey, to each her own? But even if I hated the pairing, I wouldn't want Orihime to kill anyone. That's just... wrong. ._.

160 - Same here. Which is why, as far as BL goes, I'm only interested in fanworks. My interest in pro BL has burned out a long, long time ago.

129. Every time I sit down to write fic I think about how I should be writing an original novel instead. I still haven't written that novel, but I have written a lot of fic. So you and me both there. :/

I think a lot of the time the fic has a relationship working up to sex and once they've done it, it's hard for the relationship to go anywhere and all the juicy UST that made the fic a page-turner is lost. I actually prefer couple X to have sex at the BEGINNING of the fic (and I almost always do that in my own fics) so that the sexual tension is dispersed right away and the tension in the fic has to revolve around purely emotional issues.

Of course, this doesn't work for every pairing though my kind of pairings are usually down with the casual sex. :P

I think the important part is recognizing sex not as a peak or a culmination of a relationship, but as a separate element in itself, a part of a relationship, not the ultimate expression of love.

133) Good long fic spreads the porny bits through the whole thing or waits until the climax for it (hee hee climax). I have that problem, too when it turns out that the long fic is actually a short stand alone porn story followed by a sequel which is radically different in tone. Like the rape fic which metamorphs in the second chapter into a 7 chapter "healing romance arc." Even though the events follow, the pacing of the long fic is crap with that set up. (Much better would do hint at the rape, and provide breif flashbacks to it, with the most dramatic part coming out in time with the climax of the healing... but I digress).
