I've heard a few people say they think this project or that project is good, but I don't care enough to investigate. I like her as a dancer though.

123. Um, actually, it does matter. I'm not saying that it's wrong to like the dub, 'cause it isn't. But the original Japanese does things in a manner that is much less heavy-handed and, sometimes, a shitload darker.

146. No, you're definitely not the only one. The funny bits are what drew me in, but the serious bits are what kept me watching.

151. Except that the latter doesn't take itself seriously, and revels in being ridiculous. Furthermore, it's actually well written for the most part. The problem with Twlight isn't so much that it's ridiculous as that it's very, very poorly written. Stomaching glossed-over tenchobabble is far easier for me than stomaching repetitive purple prose ('dazzled' and 'smoldered' do get old after a while).

I don't think I know anyone who HATED the dub... one of my best friends really loves the Japanese version though, and not just for the voices- apparently they cut a LOT from the American-release (Joe/Jyou stealing an old woman's bike lmfao~) That I can get. I do love the dub though, a LOT, and it's what got me started fangirling voice actors and actresses- I can still recognize and squeal over most people Mona Marshall voices. XD

134. See, he always seemed to me as sort of a... tragic villain. I think he really DID love her, in a twisted way. He just failed at it. Couldn't show it in any way except for being the monster he was. Was manipulative, tried forcing her hand and getting her to love him. But I agree- that relationship would NOT be good until/unless he changed quite a bit.

For another, uh, the director comment has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of your secret. And just because you don't like their acting, doesn't mean it's not good. If that's who I think it is (Idina Menzel and... is that Kristin Chenoweth?), they are really very good, at least in my opinion.

Also. Um. The focus of musicals IS the singing. The acting too, but. ಠ_ಠ Wat.

The director comment wasn't because I think Tim Burton's a super-special awesome director, but because he's said he would "rather cast actors who can sing than singers who can act." I didn't really expect people to get what I was referring to, though.

And I have a huge bug up my ass about how the "regular" actors I work with tend to look down on musicals because they're not "serious" theatre. So it irks me when I see musicals where the actors were clearly cast for their singing talent, because that's just supporting my friends' prejudices. I adore these women's voices (they are who you think they are), I just don't care for their acting at all. But I have nothing against people who do!

tl;dr I respect your opinion and I should just stay far away from Wicked in general!

It's not totally different from fanfiction, it's just that you're writing only one character's piece of things (at least at a time- you can play more than one character, but). Depending on the RP, it can be in "log" (Gokudera snorted, waving his cigarette dismissively. "Right, hotshot. I'll get right on that.") or "script" (*snorts, waving cigarette dismissively* Right, hotshot, I'll get right on that.) format. It's... think of it as a giant, flying-by-the-seat-of-your-pants story that you're interacting with a ton of different writers/characters to write. :>
