Ha! I rarely like such kisses because they almost seem a little... violent? Like the woman's head is wrenched back uncomfortably and by coming together so fast you risk cracking your chins together or worse - smacking your teeth into someone else's lip or vice versa. Like OUCH.

The worst is when they kinda smoosh their heads back and forth but they aren't moving their mouths at all? LOL, not being allowed to show french kissing made for some awkward attempts at showing the passion.

I think reading fanfic desensitized me to that sort of thing years ago. You read enough awkward descriptions of kissing, sex and everything in between and a little harmless chin sucking isn't going to faze you.

I'm not into pain. Especially if pain involves split lips, getting cracked across the nose with someone else's chin, or chipped teeth and bitten tongues. Coming together in urgent need is one thing, but "crashing" is too jolting a word and carries with it the connotation of a hard, damaging impact.

In general, I find Old Hollywood "kisses" charming and amusing to watch. Definitely not passionate or realistic though.

When I was super young, I thought that only married people could kiss on the lips. And that if you did kiss on the lips, it was a legally binding thing and you were then married.

So I thought those old Hollywood kisses were the actors way of avoiding "marrying" each other.

Even later, when I knew that kisses didn't mean marriage, I always thought that they missed kissing lip-to-lip on purpose because the actors weren't really in love with each other and keeping real kissing to those they really loved (kind of like prostitutes who don't kiss on the mouth).
