So, I was physically away from work for a while on a long work-trip. While I was out they shuffled offices around. So ... yeah, tomorrow's my first day back, I'm jet-lagged, and the first thing I'll have to deal with is figuring out where they hell I work now and trying to re-organize all the things :/ I know it's probably going to be perfectly fine, and they probably did a perfectly competent job of moving my stuff up a flight of stairs, but ... still stupidly nervous about it.

... recommendations for calming down?

For now? Warm bath or shower, glass of wine or comfort beverage of choice and something mindless and relaxing on TV. Generally I go for cooking shows or nature documentaries, but when I was home sick the other day I watched several hours of Reading Rainbow on Amazon Prime. Would recommend.

Tomorrow probably won't be that bad, but one of those squishy stress-ball things you can squeeze might help.

Take a walk. Doesn't have to be a long one, but set a moderate pace. Your body has a lot of nervous energy to burn and exercise is a good way to do that.

If it's an option, perhaps consider going in early so that you can get your space sorted?

I was finally able to get into an old email of mine and realized I used to save all the replies I got from comments I would post on other people's fics.

I recently discovered photobucket's "nobody has free linking" insanity absolutely DESTROYED one of my favorite blogs' backposts. :( Like, it hardly ever updates, and it's just pics, but it was really funny and a sort of go-to nostalgia browse when I needed a quick pick--me-up and now it's all GONE.

It always surprises me, even though I guess it shouldn't, that authors who write the pairings I like in one fandom, don't automatically write the pairings I like in other fandoms. :/ Every time this happens (I get to like an author while on a fic binge from one fandom, check out the profile, find their other stuff and mark anything they do in other fandoms of mind for later) I feel the same totally unwarrented SHOCK that one author can be so in tune with out I like in one fandom and then ... really NOT in others.

I mean, if somebody ships Napoloen/Illya, then ... I just expect them to be a Bones/Spock person. And a Neil/Peter person. And a Snape/Lupin person.

Anyone else have a "you ship X, you must ship Y" expectations?

I am always amazed at people who didn't make the move from Supernatural to Teen Wolf when it was huge. It seems like everyone I followed did. But I occasionally find one person who never did.

I am also surprised there is not a lot of crossover between Shadowhunters fandom with Teen Wolf or Supernatural.
