101 You need to make yourself seen, by writing, by contributing to discussions, by commenting a lot when you friend people. And I don't mean the BNFs; everyone wants to be their friends, so it's easy to get lost if you aren't good at the competitive precious snowflake thing. But find a smaller place and make friends there. That's what I did.

103 That happened to me right before I came online; I had three of my four closest local friends move away within a month. It sucked, and it took a while to rebuild local friendships. I wouldn't say I'm back to where I had been even now, but I'm getting there. Just keep trying!

107 I agree with you so hard core. I'm so over the vast intolerance that goes on. If you don't like it don't look at it. Is this so difficult? I feel it's much more the intolerant fandom snobs that make fandom a sucky place to be, not the ridiculous and often annoying fangirls.

126 I am so confused by this secret. How can they accuse you of being a homophobe if you like yuri/girlslash? Doesn't that make you a slasher? I know there's a TON less yuri (and dude, recs plz? because I am out there looking!) and that sucks, but liking yuri over yaoi isn't the same as saying that yaoi is an abomination and that slash hurts the poor characters, which is what many anti-slashers say. So those people are pretty much morons.

137 I get the complaint, seriously I do, but being pissy doesn't change how people ship. It sucks, but there it is. And the people who can't see the awesome het ship you see are just interested in other things, and if they started writing your pairing they'd probably write fic you wouldn't like anyway.

105 -. Admittedly, it gets on my nerves when some fairly decent sequels get flak (Lion King II, Little Mermaid II) just for being sequels, but that piece of shit fully deserves all the criticism it gets. And I haven't DARED to watch III.

128. HOLY CRAPPERHOUSE THAT's... uh... Space Cases something something? I used to watch that all the time when I was a kid. I even remember that he was hatched from an egg because they made that a plot point when he said he had a birthday, and then the angry human guy got all pissy when he found out that he came from an egg and that it didn't count as a birthday. I think it was one of the first shows where two people had a hate/friendship-rivalry going on that I honestly didn't think was stupid and illogical.

As someone who played Warcraft 2 when he was just a bitty daycare boy and fell HARD for the background story first (on the Orc's side of course, because I was five and they had DRAGONS HELL YEAH SCREW THE PUNY HUMANS), I can understand this. 169. ... You know, I'm not sure I agree. When we first meet Neriel, she has ideals that she seem pretty darn alone in Hueco Mundo for having.. as far as we know, she reached those ideals on her own. I mean ,if you're saying that "she couldn't have had her big return to glory if it hadn't been for Ichigo picking her up and bringing her along", then I can sort of understand what you're saying... but man, the same goes for Noitra. I think you're completely justified in feeling that way and I can't think of any reason why anyone would flame you for that. I love slash, but I also love het (one shouldn't cancel out the other). I think it's about the characters and their interactions that matter.

But, then again, canon interaction doesn't really matter when all you want is two hot characters boinking. I don't mind that either, though. I just don't like it when fans insist on bashing the female of a het pairing just so the male in that pairing can get it on with another guy (if you like both pairings, that's twice the fic/pornz! WOW!).

I know where you're coming from, but really, what makes a "better" pairing? Different people find different dynamics interesting, and being gay myself, I often am drawn more to same-gender pairings. It's not that I think they're better than the het pairings, they're just more interesting to me, personally. (And often the person writing the pairing makes a huge difference as to how believable it is.) However, I'm not going to let gender get in the way of a good relationship if I see one.

But I know this was more directed at rabid slash fans, so yeah, I'm going to say I agree.
