Originally, it used to be known as 'Wapanese', an internet slur on 4chan for a caucasian japanophile, before they put a word filter on their boards, especially in /a/. Since then, that word was filtered to 'Weeaboo' instead.

Now, the noobs on LJ are apparently 'doing it wrong' and should be punched in the neck for it. ...Even though that still doesn't mean I'm not going to call a fanbrat a fanbrat and a jerk a jerk, just so I don't hurt their 'widdle fweelings'.

...that was odd. I looked up the show years ago, only because a friend of mine on an MMO was nicknamed Radu by one of his RL friends who also played. No clue why. I don't think I'd looked at any pictures since, but for some reason I knew who he was...

137) It doesn't work that way. If the pairing doesn't appeal, it doesn't appeal. And if it doesn't appeal, people aren't going to care about it. It's not about what is the most logical pairing -- it's about what is most pleasurable, exciting to read/write/think about. A lot of times logical just means a dynamic that a person has already been completely satiated with. Personally, I can go for years without reading a happy, loving, healthy long term relationship between two people who have no more than minor friction between each other. That's the life I've lived for 18 years of marriage. I want to read and write about screwed up, unhealthy, abusive relationships doomed to crash and burn. Canon or canon likely het relationships are usually being yawns for me.
