It's true, Nnoitra doesn't need anyone to help him be a misogynistic rapist. But last I checked, Nel was a sympathetic character who can be both happy and impulsive, and sober and ass-kicking, and she did all that without him. I don't think she needs anyone to be anything. She was doing just fine before we found out she had a connection to him, and she'll do just fine without him. Being in love with Nnoitra won't make her a more complete or a better character. It'll just make her a masochist. :\

I made some of my own old icons into flair. And honestly... I don't see what the problem is. I mean, yes, people are "stealing" LJ user's work, but there's also no fesasible way to credit on the app. And when I see a piece of flair that was originally LJ--or add it--I know that, and I recognize that the flare-adder is just trying to share the bajillion tons of win of LJ fandom with their less tech-savvy friends. On pieces of flair, we don't just assume that if someone submitted it they made it--quite the contrary. After all, isn't the whole point of pieces of flare a deconstruction of notions of individuality and the claiming as an establishment of identity? The idea is that nothing we post there is our own. That I post my own stuff just makes me weird.
