Hmmm. Is it unusual anymore to be unmarried at 30? If not, I can't think of anything. I am pretty average.

We need to know what you consider the norm to be able to answer this question.

Thirty-something living with my parents and have no intention of moving out. Everyone assumes that I'm having a rough patch and wishes me luck getting out of it, but the truth is all three of us are comfortable with the way things are and see no reason to change it.

Well, I don't have kids, I'm not married, I don't have a significant other, and I don't have any student debt (yet).

I don't leave the house if I can help it. I go to work, sure, but going places other than that is bad. I'm happy with that. All the best things in the world are already in my house, or can be ordered in.

No kids, mixed race marriage, married for 25+ years. That's about it, I guess?

I'm an unmarried 30-something with no kids or pets. I travel for work and live in hotels year-round. My working hours are extremely long and erratic, I haven't had a "weekend" since I was in high school. The only property I own and/or rent is a workshop, so I'm technically homeless. I used to be much more poor than most people, now I'm much more wealthy. And so on.

Unmarried 30 years old woman living alone currently studying at the other part of the world after having a stable job for 5 years. Dropped everything to pursue my... dreams?

In addition: couldn't care less about romance and marriage (also, I'm bi and I prefer women) and living in an Asian country with this mind set has been pretty difficult at time. That's certantly NOT the norm here, even if it's been slowing changing.

I'm 30 and in university? I worked after high school and now I'm a ~mature student.

other than that, meh

Hills you'd used to die on but no longer will

-fiction comsumption/production is not completely reflective of someone's morality so moral assassination based on that information alone is unfounded harrassment and a tool for bullying
-gender

still have strong feelings but lol if i'll say anything about them in today's climate

Re: Hills you'd used to die on but no longer will

(Anonymous) 2018-04-02 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
It's less about the hills and more about the methods. As much as LJ ever had social justice warriors, I was one of them in college. I realized I didn't like scouring the news for an atrocity to be upset about and overreacting to everything without really understanding that often times, issues have nuances.

I used to die on depression self-care hills that I through experience have realized are toxic and dangerous as all fucking hell.

I used to think people had a moral right to not vaccinate their kids for whatever reason. Now I really don't. (I'm not sure what can/should be done legally but morally I can't support it.)

Or shows/games/books.

Limeybean (and other wanky people)

(Anonymous) 2018-04-03 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
This goes WAY WAY back - not even sure how many people will remember. But who remembers Limeybean, the fandomer who faked her death? And does anyone know what happened to her post-pseuidice? I know she wrote an apology, but I always wonder what happened from there.
