What subgenres do you want to see more of? Ex: Non-zombie apocalypse films.

I'm only interested in post-apocalyptic stuff if it's really far after the apocalypse and society has already rebuilt to a considerable extent

The period immediately after the post-apocalypse is just depressingly grim and kinda boring

I would like more horror-comedy.

But not dumb horror-comedy, though that does have it's place. But, like, Happy Death Day was pretty good, even with a couple of plotholes that frustrated me a bit.

High fantasy movies. Fantasy movies in general that aren't superhero.

Distant future scifi.

Happy future scifi (aka not depressing and dark but where things have gotten better).

Heroic action (where the main character is a genuine hero, not anti-hero, don't care what overarching genre really, I just want more heroes).

I first somehow heard Fallout 76 as Fallout 1776 and I want that now.

So maybe post apocalypse stories, but not modern. Post apocalypse historic fiction?

"What if the Cold War had turned hot? Where would everyone be?"
"How different would post-apoc survival be in 18th century London with only the tech of the times available?"
"If the world had ended in the 1200s how crazy would the Catholic Church have gone?"

I am hiding from the heat inside. Though, tomorrow is the city wide garage sale so might try to get out early and see if there is anything that is not junk.

My surgery was moved up to Tuesday, so I'll be getting ready for that (which mostly means a massive room clean).

My dad and I will probably go see Solo tomorrow. Not sure what I feel like watching other than that. I was watching some youtube videos yesterday and got the feels for several things: Game of thrones, Doctor Who, and Avatar: the Last Airbender. So it will be one of those probably.

Working full shifts both days, but I just had 4 days off, so it's fine, lol.

Staying home. There's a festival going on across the street this weekend so both sides of the street are packed with cars and people keep blocking the entrance to my neighborhood and there are groups of people walking around so you basically have to weave in and out to avoid hitting people and cars, and it was a huge pain in the ass to actually get into my neighborhood when I got home a bit ago. So I'm not going anywhere, which is fine because it's supposed to be hot anyway.

I think I might watch the new season of Arrested Development, although I've heard some mixed reviews.

Tomorrow I'm meeting some of my boyfriend's friends and possibly going to a vodka distillery near the house. Then maybe Sunday watching Solo.

Tomorrow is our town wide garage sale too, so I wanted to go, but I doubt we'll get up early enough to do that. I'm baking brownies in the morning so I have to do that before we meet his friends.

Mostly doing nothing, hoping I'll be able to finish season 2 of The Expanse, especially since it got picked up for season 4 on Amazon so it's probably gonna disappear from Netflix soon.

Oh, got some junk to throw out but that's been an on-going process for a while. I'll be finished One Day~

I just made an offer on a house for the first time in my life, so I'm kind of freaking out. I know it's not the only offer on the table, so who knows if mine will be the one to be accepted. I keep oscillating between being excited and hopeful on the one hand, and freaked out over how much money I will be spending in the near future if I get to buy the house. There is no outcome that is neither disappointing nor scary, except the one wehere I get the house AND somehow magically win the lottery without having bought a ticket.

In other news, my parents are coming to visit on Saturday and I have no plans for anything for us to do, so I have to think of something.

It cooled down randomly, so I think I will bake something before bed.

Job-hunting for a second job as my current one is barely covering rent/vet bills. Haven't heard anything back from my last (and most wanted) application which I'm super bummed about because I thought I had a good chance. :(

How hot is it where you are? It's warming up in the UK but it's a super uncomfortable, muggy, still-raining-but humid sort of heat.

I just had to save my cat from a racoon. He was fine. The racoon was just sniffing around the bottom of a playset as the cat screamed on top like he was being murdered.
