What's making you happy lately?

For me, it's that I've lost 50 pounds since December~ My doctor is thrilled, I'm thrilled, and I feel good. Still a lot to lose, but I'm making progress and loving it. :)

Oh nice! Good for you! I've pretty much given up on losing weight, as apparently I've fucked up my metabolism enough that even eating right/reasonably and exercising isn't doing anything and it's frustrating.

For happy things I got semi-promoted at work. (No more money but I got recognized and have more responsibilities.)

My kitty Charlie made great progress for the past few days after being back and forth to the vets, but he deteriorated rapidly again tonight and was struggling to breathe. Eventually decided it was kindest to let him go.

We were bracing ourselves for this from the first of his many visits this week, but each time he perked up we thought maybe he might pull through.

I'm in pieces. I'm really glad that we had an amazing vet who did everything to make him comfortable, and was cuddling/comforting him just as much as we were. It was really gentle and peaceful for him and I'm glad he's not suffering anymore, but I feel guilty and like I've failed him somehow. I miss him so much already. Thank you to everyone who wished us well during this. Goodbye Charlie. <3
