156. Kino? My god. AGREED AGREED.

160. Go watch Minami-ke! And on the other hand, the boards I post at, you can't mention Lucky Star without getting mauled. I do agree though, it seemed like one giant bill board at times. :P

137. Saved her life? How horrible of him. Seriously guys blame the writers, not The Doctor. You're blaming The Doctor for saving her life. Taking her memories was the only way. And the reason it was the only way was because of THE WRITERS.

He could also mean Russel T. Davies, you know. He did write the episode.

101 - not hp, but yes. very much yes. just now my roommate was using my computer, and i was considering going to get a shower while she was on it, but decided against it in the event that she finish her email, open one of my other browsers, and see the porn i was reading.

108 - the sw-verse, for me, pretty much exists in the books. the new movies are killing it.

122 - horrible as i found the new movie, i do desperately want the franchise to continue, really in ANY format, but ESPECIALLY so that we get our big, 10.22.2012 apocalyptic flick. because OMGAWESOME, even if carter fucks it up again.

137 - i understand why he had to do it, but out of everything in that finale that pissed me off, it was donna that truly just broke my heart in two. best companion EVER.

146 - whatEVER, im so sick of hearing old fogies whine about rtd, tennant, and new who. i LOVE it, so the fuck what??

174 - she can do no wrong.

If you wrote it when you were younger, then you were learning to write. It may appear poor to you now, but the teacher encouraged you because it was still a show of your creativity. If you see what you did wrong now, then you have only grown. Don't doubt yourself. Learning to write is to always want to be better, anyway.

101. I hate people to use my comupter because they could find my copious amounts of smut of pretty much any fandom I've ever been in. Not to mention, 99% of the time I'm on it, I'm reading smut, and I'll minimize the window if someone asks to "use it for a second" and watch them like a fucking hawk until I have it back. XD;;

106. Yeah, I know what you mean...having a Wilson to my House makes me feel guilty a lot. Not that I tell her that, which just makes it worse...I dunno.

[identity profile] acejillian.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 07:06 am (UTC)(link)
172. I cannot agree more. I believe in Harvey Dent (and, apparently, Aaron Eckhart)

....wow.
i don't mind it when people say they didn't like his performance, or even that he ruined the joker... but to go so far as to say that you are "very glad" that his daughter is going to grow up without a father just because of his performance in a movie?
i'm all for people being entitled to their opinions but that seems ridiculously harsh.

160. GOD it's so great to know I'm not alone. Lucky Star is really bad, imo. who the hell spends 7 minutos of an episo talking about ways of eating certain snacks? I mean seriously, wtf.

111. You're not the only one. I too make incoherent "cute animal" noises in public. Yes, where people can hear me. I use Nyaa as a general cry (with tones changing according to meaning) and a more general Nyaasu when I feel like it.

152. OP, are you filipino? Coz... suka means vomit in my language, too.

165. Original Yu Gi Oh > YuGiOhGX or any other sequel. I love than fandom. I'm 22.

168. 8D What was the trap's name again and was it from Megaman GX (was it GX) or Advent?

168

(Anonymous) 2008-08-03 10:19 am (UTC)(link)
It's ZX Advent. The blue trap's name is Thetis, the orange one's Atlas.

Wow, so you're glad that a man is dead because he did not play a fictional movie/comic book character to your idealistics? Wow, how shallow can you be? You know what, why don't you say to his two-year-old daughter who's going to grow up without knowing her father apart from a couple of movies he's starred in? If you knew what loss felt like, you wouldn't be saying that shit.

[identity profile] beandelphiki.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 09:44 am (UTC)(link)
115. Funny, I think fandom is the one thing saving me from loathing all of humanity.

132. The finale was absolutely terrible, but I did like the Master. Sophisticated baddies bore me. I like 'em batshit crazy and hyper, I guess.

136. I totally know how you feel. Doesn't matter HOW old it is; bad old writing of mine still has the power to mortify me. I'm sure your teacher only meant that you were good for your age, though.

I doubt I'll ever really believe I'm especially good, but I don't know if that's a bad thing. Keeps my inner editor on his toes. And while I may never be entirely satisfied with what I write, I CAN be satisfied with the fact that other people enjoy it.

137. I know. :(

146. DAMN, I wish I know what this said; but it's gone now. It sounds like it was a pretty epic and sweeping condemnation of all things NuWho.

I mean...I've seen a couple of Classic serials by now. They were pretty good. They weren't great. The ideas were too BIG for what the show was capable of at the time. (Something which I actually admire, given that we currently have CGI and so many shows and movies devoid of any ideas to depict with it.) But really, it wasn't, like...the best show ever made or anything. Some of the acting was REALLY bad, too.

I'm seriously not grasping the need for SO MUCH Classic fen butthurt over the mere existence of the new series. Not that all Classic fen are like this - most aren't, IME - but the ones that are... It's been four years, guys, and you're STILL SO BITTER, DAMN. Can't you find another show for a bit until the new series dies?

Forgot Too!Big 1

[identity profile] beandelphiki.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 11:51 am (UTC)(link)
Haven't seen Blackadder, but seen the rest.

Whether or not House, M.D. is the best show he's done (and I'd say not), House is still the best role Hugh Laurie's ever played. He took a character that would have become a grating one-trick pony within two seasons and made him incredibly human and sympathetic and complex. He never hits a wrong note with the role; you can't convince me otherwise.

152

[identity profile] saya-aensland.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
My language is a bit more neutral to him; "sokka" means "cotter pin", "sukka" means "sock" and "sakka" (which is how they pronounce the name anyway) means "sediment" (or "coffee grounds" o_O).

130, 172

(Anonymous) 2008-08-03 10:27 am (UTC)(link)
#130- Hell yes. Quite possibly because I want to find a guy who has more crazy than me.

#172- After two viewings of the movie, I think I might agree.

101. OMG me too! I always think they're going to look through my inbox, which has HEAPS of LJ email updates of slash, or look at my pictures which have a lot of slashy stuff too, and epecially if they read all the hundreds of fics that i've saved. Don't worry, I think every fic reader/writer is like that too, unless they're openly proud of spending half their life on the computer reading fiction :P

111. LMFAO!!!

123. It's pretty good for MS Paint, mine was absolutely terrible!

136. Aww I'm sure it's not that terrible if everyone loved it back then. Obviously your standards have risen, but your stories can't have been too bad. Please continue writing :)

138. Lol Prince Caspian accent is so much sexier than his real voice :P Wouldn't mind him and William Moseley talking dirty to me either :P

142. ROFLMAO WTF!!

Oooh, let me guess! Let me guess! You're a scrawny, pimple-faced little wanker who was so personally disturbed by Heath's portrayal of Ennis in Brokeback Mountain (how DARE he turn you on like that!), that you've made it your personal vendetta to shit all over his other performances, and even his life. Now you troll Livejournal all day to rile up his fanbase so that you can feel somehow satisfied that you've properly disrespected his memory.

Did I come pretty close to the mark?

You're being far too hard on yourself. Everyone thinks their own work is bad. And of course what you wrote when you were younger isn't as good as what you write now - you've grown! I'm willing to bet that your teacher saw your potential and felt your writing was good for your age.

Don't judge what you do now by what you did then. If you love writing, then keep doing it.

#143, #161 and #163

[identity profile] crystaldiver.livejournal.com 2008-08-03 02:52 pm (UTC)(link)
143. Not surprised people are all over him in fandom since it's fandom. I personally don't like him after reading the comics, but that's my bias talking. Rorschach > The Comedian on his best day.

...wait. That doesn't look like a good sign, either.

161. Is your mother my mother? Because mine did the exact same thing. I think she owns the movie around here somewhere, too. Shit, I thought I'd escaped the urge to re-watch those episodes, but I think I'm feeling the symptoms of withdrawal coming on.

163. Those two always did work so well together. XD; I still remember that episode where they went to prom (or was it homecoming or a party at school?) together. His reaction to seeing her all dressed up was priceless.
