Work. We were supposed to NOT have meetings but my boss's boss stinks. Got a package of Funko Pops I sold sent off as well.

You think that's bad, I ship original Graves/Newt which is 100% fanon, zero canon. The dynamic made up in fic is so cute and interesting though, I can't resist.

It's fucking annoying Rowling made both Newt and Credence straight in the sequel when they both scream gay and/or asexual. Also that she just...ignored the entire existence of Graves when he was definitely the ensemble darkhorse of the first film and the mystery of what happened to him could still be explored. I think what annoys me most about CoG is that she had so many potentially interesting threads left open after the first movie, but then dropped them all and veered off into the worst, most bizarre, and most contrived directions possible.

I can't tell whether you read the secret's 'bonding' as boning, and you are referring to a widespread carnal desire for velociraptors, or whether you meant screwing as it pertains to the the inaccurate representation of the raptor group's biology.

Either way I would be THRILLED to hear you elaborate.

Depends on the animals in question, at absolute most

I'll give you that.

For me, unless it's a series-long endeavour with the same contestants getting slowly whittled down (ie you have time to invest in specific people), watching the misshaps and process during the 'making' period of a show will always be more fun than the judging!

Yes! This! I agree wholeheartedly.

Finished an album cover for my dad (who really needs to make songs with shorter names because goddamn I only have so much space) and fretted over my partner's burn from work. I can handle blood but burns, eeggghh it's huge and I'm convinced it's infected.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Well people also mourned the Opportunity rover...

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh, I think it would depend on the people in question as well.

Work, dealing with back orders and bullshit. Then had a tiny one-episode-of-Pride-and-Prejudiced sized nap, then a bath, and now have some chicken cooking while I watch Ballerina.

It's fucking annoying Rowling made both Newt and Credence straight in the sequel when they both scream gay and/or asexual.

I haven't seen the second movie, and I've always been inclined to defend Rowling, but...CREDENCE IS STRAIGHT IN THE SEQUEL?!!! WOW that is some bullshit. As far as I was concerned it was full on canon that Credence was gay, and I say that as someone who doesn't ship him with anyone. I just- that's so- I mean really?

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Would love to say all of the above, but I do mean carnal desire for velociraptors... I actually have never seen any of the movies, but once when I was looking for fic I found a bunch of Alan/Velociraptors. I must have clicked on something weird, but I've seen more of it since then just causally. It creeps me out tbh.

I thought it was a thing... but maybe not?

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. I figured they meant 'nailed it' as in 'good job'... oops.

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds... odd. Thanks though;;

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
that makes... NO fucking sense
at all
what the shit

Woke up with indigestion at about 3am and the day has just sort of gone downhill from there

(Anonymous) 2019-05-28 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Most of the highly-kudosed People/Velociraptors that I've stumbled on has been nonsexual bonding (sometimes romantically described, but still not with boning.)

There's definitely some porn out there because fandom is fandom, and you might've fallen into a nest of that, but a lot of what's under the /Velociraptors tags is more along the lines of Pernese dragons or wolfbrothers or Companion/Herald sort of stuff, although usually without the telepathy. And if you don't know the fandom it's not always obvious from the headers that there's no boning.

And there's also that one Yuletide fic that's just objectively creepy because it was written by dewclaws guy.

Thanks! That really doesn't make sense, especially given that it's the wizarding world and everyone knows everyone because they all went to school together. Lol.

I just spent two hours looking for new tennis shoes that didn't pinch my toes and were in my budget. Woof. On the plus side, I had a coupon that took $10 off my total, so it was worth the time.

You can't really mourn either, because again, you have no real relation to them.

This is very unkind.

You absolutely can mourn a death. You didn't personally know a celeb, but that doesn't mean they didn't have an affect on your life, or that it doesn't feel like a loss.

Also:

Went to work, then watched The Grudge for the very first time. I think I'm starting to get into horror movies again, even though I tend not to find them terribly scary.

What is the most disappointed you have been with a piece of media?
