159. There's a WMG going around that Bleach is actually supposed to be KT's design profile and he really wants to be a fashion designer. The amount of time he seems to spend on Ichigo and Orihime's outfits on the splash pages, I'd believe it.

149. I understand that too, I love comments and when my art get attention, but I'm to shy to post it in many places... I was so ridiculously happy when one of my fanart ended up on the Rule34 website XD I'd love to see my art in secrets too, don't think it'll happen tho, my main fandom doesn't get much secret in the first place...

The only ones who deserve to live are Mama P, Mama B, and Season 1 Claire. The rest are either terrible or boring and the ones who are still alive should not be around for much longer.

103 - I used to have all icons from one fandom when I first started with a basic account. (Three icons, then it went up to six.) I'd switch fandoms once in a while, and would keep keywords - funny, sad, etc.

123 - She was wonderful.

128 - Very few book series have fandoms. I read the Kitty Norville series, about a werewolf radio show host. It's hysterical with some nice character development and twists. There's one community with a single post.

134 - ...It think it can be both. Maya and Alejandro were never given much of a chance by the writers. It's vague where they actually come from. Maya's power is basically only used for destructive purposes. They don't seem overly intelligent. So while I did want Sylar to kill Maya and was rather pleased when Niki died in that fire, I don't think it's representative on my views of women characters in general. (I either like or am indifferent to all the other female characters on the show. I find Mama Petrelli and Elle fascinating, and agree that Monica and Claire get a lot of undeserved flack. I like Simone, but she was basically a woman in a refrigerator. And Yaeko was entirely set up as a way to break up the Hiro-Adam friendship.)

These characters you name all have their merits and potential. We can't read the production team's intentions, so saying "she was only there to do this/that" is hard, because we simply do not know.

I think much of the bad reception certain characters got is indeed indicative of an underlying stereotyping, not just by the writers, but also by the fans.

131. Beast was always one of my favorite X-Men characters. I love me some Hank McCoy. Yes, more than Gambit, Wolverine, Cyclops... More than a lot of them, now that I think about it.

134. Sometimes the hatred towards the women in Heroes rivals that of the women in Supernatural. And that's just scary.

It's scary, yes, but I don't think it's always malicious and rarely is it intentional. But we have to work at these things, constantly. There *is* reacial and gender bias both on the side of the production teans AND fandom, and we have to analyze that.

Of course, people don't like being called asshats, which is why this is a secret post ;)

I know how you feel. It was my first really large con, and it was so fucking epic. I made a bunch of friends, met up with some awesome LJ folks, and I'm pretty sure my time spent in the Kappei Yamaguchi autograph line was most fun anyone's ever had waiting in line for 2 1/2 hours for anything.
