"It's a show focusing on two brothers"? Most of the complaints of misogyny aren't about the lack of strong female characters, female characters being damsels-in-distress, and so on, but about how those two brothers treat women. So that defense only makes sense if you assume that men are naturally misogynistic, and thus if you want to avoid misogyny in your TV shows you must avoid shows which has men as their lead characters.

Occasionally the complaints veer into "why are all the female characters killed off/written out, when male characters have a chance at being recurring?" Which I don't think you have to avoid male-led shows for either. There are plenty of male-led shows with recurring female characters.
