I just read your comment twice, really wanting to defend the fact that certain video games have addictive potential comparable to gambling or certain drugs, but then I realized I don't even agree with that point of view and was just angered at "what some dumb fuckwads do with their miserable lives". 104- I relate so much to this secret it's not even funny... I'm a Tosh to an Owen too and their deaths broke my heart into 50 million pieces. I knew they didn't really have a realistic chance in hell but that didn't stop me hoping... I would say though Exit Wounds and that death scene are one of the best things I've ever watched on TV. Sure it ended my OTP- but they did it in such a beautiful way. It was so Tosh/Owen.

So angsty, so OMG WHY HAVEN'T YOU GOT TOGETHER YET, So sweet and so sad all at the same time. They couldn't have done it any better in my opinion. Plus the acting was immense... Great job writers killing off two of the most interesting characters and the two best actors on the show! LOL!

So, remember how I said I wouldn’t be watching SPN anymore, not out of an attempt to stick it to The Man, but because every time a woman was called a slut, whore, bitch, etc. by the boys it felt like the ghost of the Scarlet Letter was reaching out from the television to slap me personally across the face, and that was just not enjoyable for me? Especially because I didn't actually like reading the Scarlet Letter the first time round? But that I understood (and sorta envy) people who could still enjoy the show, and wished them an awesome fourth season? Ok, you don't have to; it happened.

So. I was flipping to Supernatural during The Office’s commercials (Holly/Michael OMG) just when not!Meg basically said that dressing in jeans and leather jackets meant a woman's dressing like a slut. So I was muttering angrily to myself for, like, a week.

Because I really don't have to overanalyze to go "hey, Dean, slapping a chick and then dropping money on the table is treating her like a whore, and also not okay." It's sort of... obvious to me. And I will note that it was obvious when I talk about the episode afterwards.

I enjoy television because usually the idiotic sexism either a) isn't that blatant or b) is mitigated by the main characters not being one one-dimensional caricatures. (generally enjoyable caricatures, to be fair, but not enough so that it distracts me from the constant blatant sexism.)
