Exercise advice

What's a good basic workout routine for someone who's main concern is health. There's a million of them and I have no idea where to start.

I like these two. Also, you can choose exercises you like to make your own routine.

The vids are terrible quality but they work. :P

What aspect of health? Better stamina? Combating potential future heart disease? Strengthening weak joints? Avoiding back pain?

Mild cardio is the most basic "good health" recommendation, 20-30 minutes of biking, walking, running, or swimming. It's the overall thing, and aside from a bike you don't need equipment or a gym. That said, adding bodyweight exercises to add strength (pushups, situps/crunches, and squats at the bare minimum) balances the body a little better. You don't have to be working to lose weight or get ripped to do both strength and cardio.

I recommend Hasfit on YouTube. Guy and a girl who have workouts with and without dumbells, for strength or for cardio, ranging from 15-40 minutes.

There are a lot of very good exercise routines on this site. I clicked on a generally basic routine for you. The best part about this site, and their routines, is that they vary the workouts daily in order to fit overall health/strength, over a month or so period.

They have many different routines, all with separate difficulties and the such, so if not the one I linked, maybe another might take your fancy.

I love Bodyfit by Amy! I like her style and her workouts offer a lot if variety. She has special beginner workouts but in her regular workouts she offers options for all fitness levels as well.

Basically, you can choose whatever workout you're in the mood for.
