Have you noticed that people who live in sin in the Old Kingdom tend to die rather early (and gruesomely)? Then again....so do most people who don't live in sin in the Old Kingdom.

They seem to have archaic notions as far as stuff like that (hence Touchstone demanding to be announced as Sabriel's guardian or whatever), but don't seem to have any problem with women holding positions of power. 104) I will never understand the reason why "Canon is the only way to ship" people even bother with fandom (beyond the official episode discussion threads) -- they got the story they wanted done extremely well right there on the screen, what is the point of looking further? I come to fandom to see everyone's take on the path not taken.

114 As a queer who likes comic books, I way prefer it when Apollo tops if only because I like the idea that Midnighter lets himself be vulnerable to ONE PERSON and one person only. Except of course in Human on the Inside when he was diggin' on the evil dude and got pinned. Which was also an interesting look into what he likes - he was shocked and confused but still enjoyed being bested. And yeah, come on now. They're a switch ship if there ever was one. (I think their wedding photos are also adorable, because if I remember rightly, Midnighter was the one with the bouquet, then, too...)
