Chuck your fandom loose change here.

Quentin Tarantino has the most punchable face in all of Hollywood. His permanent expression of evil smug nauseates me.

Nah, that's Michael Moore.

I don't hate Tarantino, but you're not wrong. He's got a bad case of resting douchebag face.

I have this terrible, unshakeable feeling that LittleKuriboh is dead. I have no idea where this is coming from, I don't know why it matters so much to me - I don't even /follow/ his works, I just caught wind through Linkara's twitter. But it's lingering and I can't shake it.

It's been three days since he went in at time of writing - I pray I'm wrong.

God, I hope not. I love his videos and I think he just has one more season of YGO to abridge. Plus, I’ve met him at a few cons and he’s always been lovely. I did just check his Twitter and his wife posted about him being in the hospital, so I checked her Twitter and she hasn’t posted anything to indicate he’s passed, just that he’s having an incredibly difficult time.

I keep hearing that GRRM's worldbuilding is so wonderful and complex. The only thing I find vaguely interesting about it is how, in a world where the cycle of seasons is years long, absolutely nothing is different about nature.
It feels like everything evolved on Earth and was transplanted to Westeros (and then didn't all die in the first winter because... magic?)

I can only find villains hot if I can also see them as redeemable

I'd actually never really thought about this before, but yup, same!

Wow I'm the exact opposite! I like my villains 100% evil, as soon as they seem to be redeemable I'm not interested.

Right now I am SO glad I never took the time to get into Overwatch

Fuck Blizzard

Same. I am, however, very excited for Blizzcon.

I was obsessed with Space 1999 as a child. It was only when I re-discovered the show as an adult that I learned there was a second season.

And then I watched it... Oh boy, I wish I still didn't know!

I wish published fiction had a tagging database that I could filter like AO3 tags. Asking for recs is not a good substitute.

Not sure this counts, but...

I've developed a distaste for Youtube compilations of people giving stupid answers on game shows.

I get that it's funny, but I don't care for the ugly judgments and ridicule it is clearly meant to invoke.

I don't hate all of Steven Universe's character designs. The Diamond, in particular, are pretty dang good. But man, when they're bad, they're atrocious. I can't believe anyone saw Spinel and approved it.

I get the feeling that Hollywood writers/directors don't really... understand monarchy? Like, it's always either "This is an absolute monarchy and the monarch can do what they like and no-one can stop them" or it's "Tradition is the rule and no-one, not even the monarch, can ever change that at all". Not a lot of middle ground.

For example! In 'Black Panther', at the start of the movie T'Challa is talking about opening up Wakanda a little and actually interacting with other countries, and the council is going, 'Eeeh, nahhh'. Then Killmonger takes over, immediately says 'We're going to start a global race war, funded and armed entirely by Wakanda', and the council say... nothing.
You're telling me there wouldn't be people lined up around the block to fight this lunatic American jackass who thinks he can pull their country into a bloodbath like that? Shit, I'd volunteer to fight him, I'd die to save my country from that.

IDK if there's a way to make this a proper secret, but--

One of the biggest barriers to me writing things is that I can’t fabricate for shit. I’m an excellent describer, and a decent plotter, but as soon as I’m trying to say something convincing about a subject I don’t actually know much about, I’m complete garbage.

As someone who works as a background extra for a living, I am (compared to most people) so fucking qualified to write actor RPF. I could be so realistic and include so much detail and write with so much confidence about what working on a film set is like!

But RPF completely fails to capture my interest. :(

All the pairings I like are pairings there is very little interest in. That can be frustrating, but it also means there isn't a ton of bad OOC fanfiction about them, so there's that. S!B it sounds kind of judgmental.

Spoilers for Death Note: When L died in the manga I didn't believe at first that he was really dead. I thought it was some kind of trick, because L was so brilliant I figured he could pull something like that off somehow. When I realized he was really dead I tried to keep reading but I had almost no interest in the rest of it.
