110. I haven't seen more than a few minutes in random parts of random episodes, but I'm pretty sure it would be abnormal to relate with him. Most people do, in fact, feel emotions.

123. I'm pretty sure that Alan Moore wouldn't be proud. Probably wouldn't be horrified either. I think that it would just further enforce the hate for humanity that permeates his work. I'm convince that it's OOC for Rorschach to consent to sex, and to respond to sexual advances in any way other than disgust and violence.

136. About half the time I skip secrets for fandoms for which I'm not familiar with the source material. There's absolutely no reason to be ashamed of it. I don't really discriminate based on medium though...

140. I've never read any Holmes, so I haven't really sought out info on this new movie...I pretty much only know that it exists. I don't ship Holmes/Watson, and I don't think I would if I was a Holmes fan, but it still pisses me off to hear from your secret that they're adding in a love interest for Holmes. Why can't there just be movies WITHOUT romance subplots?

Thank You. Ffftftf Reading some parts of the manga (book 4 and 5) and how.. god the tears just came rolling down my face. 8( I feel pathetic about it but man. I think this what I needed to confront 'back then'. Ed you are awesome.

116 - Clearly the world would be a more fabulous place if everyone had their own Tim Gunn.

125 - There are things I think Tohru could teach lots of people, male or female; that said, I don't think anyone should be her unless they can also be some other characters too, to keep their inner Tohru from being taken advantage of.

142 - Enjoying a show, you're doin' it wrong.

153 - She is an awesome character, but honestly? I wish you wouldn't say you hate it when people make her a "slut" like it's a bad thing. There is a woeful lack of strong, self-contained, generally awesome female characters who are also confident and empowered in their sex lives. She would be a great character to write that way. And while that doesn't mean she has to sleep around, it also means that she might be able to approach sex in such a way that, yes, she could be labeled a slut. If I wrote for Bleach, I would probably write her as a girl who's been around the block and then some, and had a great time doing it. It's not something that has to be so freaking negative.

Ah, yeah. I think I phrased that unfortunately. When I think of "writing her like a slut," I was thinking more like... writing her as a character really lacking in dimensions, whose main purpose is to screw around. And they don't flesh it out to show her as a strong female character who can approach sex in a confident, empowered way. That I could deal with a lot better, and I think she is very well suited to it if it's well written and doesn't kick her character to the curb in some way.

i hated that character. HATED her. but the fact that her storyline was completely dropped and Peter, who loved her, is totally disinterested in rescuing her from a dystopia or even checking to see if she is all right is obscene. not taking a single act to resolve her storyline is one of the many reasons that Heroes sucks now.

Agreed: I like those animes that have the stereotypes. Like, half the appeal of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is the fact that every student is a blatant stereotype. This is also the reason why I like Ouran.

Disagreed: I kind of feel offended when people call her a Mary Sue, because I really identify with her. Of course I'm not as amazing as her, but there are so many other levels where we click.

101. I agree so much... Actually, I think I've said this before. But anyway, I prefer the old characer1/character2 to name mashups, weird ___shipping names, numbers, and whatever else fandom comes up with. I get so confused looking for fanfic in some fandoms. :|

125. She's not really a terrible role model, she's just not perfect. The way she's very understanding, non-judgemental and selfless is admirable. Several times over the course of the manga people tell her she needs to be more selfish and speak up for herself more (she doesn't ever quite... get there, but I think she got better).

136. Didn't someone post a secret like this recently? Anyway, I assume you don't watch anime. So isn't that what everyone does? Skip over the fandoms they don't know? I don't read any bandom secrets, or most of the TV series secrets.

145 - All of a Kind Family!!! Oh god! All I remember about those books was I was so disappointed when the oldest girl's crush turned out to be in love with the librarian. It was cool that they found each other and all, but it made me sad because I related with the heartbroken sister. ;_;

Um, but it never occurred to me to slash any of them. I wonder what the case would be if I read it today? LOL

I like how what was at its core a childrens' book wasn't afraid to deal with the topic of romance and heartbreak as a part of growing up, and it was done so well, too.

That is the point, and it's why I love the series. They take complete and utter cliches and make them more than that, and that's just awesome. As a writer, it fascinates me, and I hope I can come up with characters as awesome as that someday.

I'm with you (though I couldn't be arsed to comment directly) -- they're quick to come up with non-supernatural explanations, they always tell the owners about these non-supernatural explanations, and many of their findings aren't exciting. You'd think if they were making shit up, they'd do something better than, "Hey, where'd my shoe go?" Also, when the owners have tampered or faked things (like in the Queen Mary episode), they catch it.
