115. AAAH! AGAIN, IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! Are you the same person who made the Eliza/Owen secret, because if you are I think we need to be friends on the sole reason that you keep reading my mind and making these secrets at the same time that I mean to and never get around to.

Seriously, I just figured it out a few weeks ago, and it was one of those light-click-epiphanies. The saddest bits--I went to Catholic school for nine years, and I sussed out the mythological significance of his last name years ago, while figuring this out took...yeah-up, fourteen years.

I think Xanatos is Greek. Or, well, of Greek descent, which would probably mean he comes from a Greek Orthodox family. I could be soooo off, though.


125. Well, yes and no. I think people should emulate Tohru more often, just...learn from the bad bits. I mean, by rights, she should be a Mary Sue, but something about her isn't. I think it's that what makes a Mary Sue is the characters reacting to her in a way that's inconsistant with her abilities/actions. But Tohru just treats everyone she meets as if they're special and worth being loved specifically, and that brings out the best in most people.
I love her so much. Even now, years later, I love her so much. I'll never figure it out--I thought I'd hate her. I always hate leads.

131) I think the truth of the matter is that any any group of people, there will be jerks. There will also be nice people as well. Ya just have to learn to ignore the former, and surround yourself with the latter. Also, it helps to remember that even the nice people have bad days or issues they go batshit over. Human nature and all. The true jerks only become obvious over time. Also FMA has been my favorite fandom.

137) Just because you don't like them, doesn't make them stu's or sues. They are all attractive and talented. Rodney gets a lot of airtime because his actor is really, really talented and he manages to pull off layered and complicated performance.

Just like it says on the box, you're missing where the criticism is directed.

The secret has nothing to do with the actors. I adore McKay. Hewlett is made of awesome. I like Jewel Staite, and have tried to like Keller. The problem lies with the characters being a) an admitted self-insert (Mallozzi & Gero w/ McKay) and b) a nice-girl-genius-cum-sudden-superwoman who replaces another character and everyone loves and accepts without a problem, who are then unceremoniously shoved together.

My problem is with the writers who are too lazy, juvenile, or just plain untalented to be able to pull this off with any sort of believability.
