I definitely read less but I think the problem for me is mostly related to finding things to read that really catch my interest enough to read 'em. It does take more effort to decide to sit down and read something, compared to just scrolling through Twitter on my phone or watching something on Netflix. But when it's something that I actually am interested in reading, I've found that I'm more than willing to make that commitment.

I know there are a lot worse changes. That particular one just particularly bugs me because he's my favorite character and I would have liked to see him adapted better. But you are right, there are other changes that are worse in the sense of missing the point and not just being bad aesthetically.

From quick googling it looks like it the farm there were kept at was at fault. Apparently, they fixed up the farm to prevent any future injuries.

Also, one of the horses ran off a cliff? That is a dumb horse.
