102. Yes, there are moments when Westley is a little off-putting. "You betrayed me, so I will pretend to kidnap you and threaten your life! *smack* Oh, you still love me so I love you again. <3<3<3" I suppose it all balances out with mostly-dying for her and saving her life. (The book has one quite unpleasant moment near the end, though. Like an easter egg, only with a bomb inside.)

146. Trust me, your life is worth far more than any fictional person's. They're sometimes easier to feel for just because they don't have the depth that real people develop over a lifetime, but that doesn't make them more meaningful. If you're genuinely having trouble feeling emotions for yourself, think of what you feel about fictional characters as stepping stones. Things like what you described can take time to come to grips with, but don't give up on yourself.

I tried to read the book and I HATED IT. SO MUCH. I absolutely LOATHE authors like William Goldman and Lemony Snicket who seem to think that the people who are interested in their books are also interested in what the author has to say outside of the story. If you want to write a book about yourself and what you think, fine, but GTFO of the story and let me read in peace!

I made it as far as the episode where Sookie gets brutally beaten (1st ep? 2nd?) That was too much for me; not the blood, really, just the sick violence. I probably would have stopped watching anyway, though, because of the the godawful accents. I was born and raised in Louisiana and I've never heard accents like those. They're embarrassingly bad.

A few or so weeks ago, I turned on my TV and True Blood was on. Within the first five minutes I was going "ew! what the fuck is this shit?!". Then I proceeded to watch the rest of the episode and shake my head in shame as I put in on my planner so that I could catch it the next week. No show that bad should be that addictive. Then again, I watch Lost.
