129. I have no shipping interests in the show and I still thought this episode jumped the shark in all kinds of ways. It was poorly written and felt awkward all over so I believe you when you say everything instead of just House/Cuddy. I suppose I care less because I feel like this series has been going downhill for a while now.

(Note: I think I'm reading the "real secret" part differently than others so sorry if I'm wrong XD)

I totally disagree that all the fics are the same in the LoM fandom, I think there's a real diversity to the things written considering that AU is almost impossible and it's closed canon. I do agree however that there is a lack of criticism to people's writing - I would rather get crit for my fics rather than simply "this was great" comments, and it's one of the things the comm doesn't seem to do (not that it isn't nice to be back slapped, but I know sometimes people read my fic and don't comment - I would prefer to know why and how I can improve, but that might be just me!)I've been involved in other fandoms, and I think that the writers in general in the LoM fandom are of a high standard, especially the more prolific writers. I think you might be mistaking a friendly supportive community for something more malicious - I've never felt "pressurised" into commenting on anything, and I think the writers should feel proud of their work because it kicks ass. (oops went on a bit there didn't I...)

I was frustrated when I made this secret, and as such I feel that it's a poor representation of the community. I have enjoyed most of the stories I have read. It was a cheap shot. I'm glad you agree with me about the criticism, because that was the true point of the secret. I'm afraid that it came out poorly, but that is what I first intended. I guess I was just frustrated because I would like to know what I can do better, maybe I work too hard, but I get mad when people churn out fics and do not seem to care about the quality of writing because it is so important to me. I stress about it. I get that people are writing fic for all different reasons, though, I do. So I see I can't truly be angry at them for that. Perhaps I need to channel my anger into some sort of sport or physical activity. *chuckles* Yes, I may have read too much into things people said about commenting, as well. And there are some wonderful people at the com. Maybe I need a break from fandom, period. I'm becoming cantankerous in my old age, *sigh,* and it is no one's fault save my own. Thank you for replying so civilly.

116. Awww, there is nothing wrong with converting into a tea-junkie for weird reasons. Maybe you haven't found the right tea for you yet? (ohmygod, I sound like a Mormon targeting lonely international students now) From your secret, it sounds like fruit teas and tisanes might be something you haven't tried yet? The smells of blackcurrant tea on cold winter days have cheered me up considerably over the past few years. And although I find milk in tea an aberration not to be tolerated, maybe try some black teas that require something other than water to fortify its flavour? You might find it feels less like drinking dirty dishwashing water that way?

107. Howard Philips! Old Nintendo Power was so badass. It was like a print-form variety show about video games, and those comics were utterly fantastic. Nowhere near as good once Howard left and Nester was free to be a jerk on his own, though.

106 - I don't read X-factor, but I'm with you on him being over-rated in general.

116 - TEA IS GOOD FOR YOU. JOIN US.
I've given a few people who "didn't like tea" this fruity sort of tea, that's just made from an assortment of fruit (like fruit-punch variety) and then you sweeten it with honey instead of milk or sugar. Honey works better at sweetening it up in general, really.
And THEY LIKED IT.

123 - This secret made me happy, I don't even know why. I guess Harrison Ford has that effect on people :P

I must say, I understand the aversion that many people have to tea with the crap that they generally try of the bat.

Some recommendations for not-gross tea:

-Avoid bagged if you're having a proper (ie, made with the camelia sinesis leaf; which is white, green, oolong and black) tea. (It's just teh gross and usually awful quality) Herbal teas are usually okay bagged. (But herbal tea isn't 'real' tea; just boiled fruit and flowers or herbs)

Find a good loose tea leaf (health food stores and tea specialty shops should carry them) that looks or sounds or smells appealing to you, and use a tea basket (strainer) to filter it preferably.

-Don't EVER allow your water to boil. EVER. (unless it's herbal) Tea leaves are fussy and will go very bitter on you if you scald them. 170 degrees should be the temperature for green. Black tea can withstand up to 195. The rule is, let the water get hot enough to steam, but not bubble.

-Don't steep it for too long. With black tea, 2-4 minutes. With green tea, you usually shouldn't let it go for more than 60 seconds.

-Don't sweeten green tea.
