What are your favorite and least favorite series finales?

Favorites: Babylon 5, Buffy (season 7 did have some issues, but the final was great), Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Legend of the Seeker.

Least favorites: How I Met Your Mother tops this list. Nothing is worse. Game of Thrones (but the whole final season was terrible). Charmed (then again, the last two seasons weren't particularly good). Star Trek: Enterprise (not that the show in general was good, but the final was terrible). Next Generation (sorry, overall excellent show, but the final was so blah and not worthy of the show).


Ones I liked that others don't: Battlestar Galactica. Castle.

I love the "Frasier" finale. Sweet and touching and never fails to make me cry whenever I happen to rewatch it.

"Bates Motel" had a good finale as well.

Game of Thrones was the worst. So many years of great build up to THAT. Such a tragedy.

I think Breaking Bad had a great ending though. I really liked the recent Schitt's Creek ending.

I can't recall a time in recent television I watched a finale and thought "damn, that was a brilliant end to a series." I don't mean that in an edgy or hipster or grandpa way; I really don't remember any. Some were okay, while others shit the bed and tossed the soiled linens into the spinning ceiling fan. And then there were shows were cancelled before they had the chance at a proper ending.

Game of Thrones is probably the worst in recent times. D&D gave no fucks, screwed over the audience, and arguably caused some of the cast trauma. Call me bitter, I don't care.

I really liked the final episode of The Big Bang Theory (minus the surprise pregnancy). Worst was the final episode of Sherlock. What the hell even was that?

Favorite: Golden Girls, Frasier, all Blackadders (most old comedies, actually)

Least favorites: Dexter and Game of Thrones, but not only the final episode, since their final seasons were garbage.

I did not like the Haven finale. Though to be honest, I hated how the story developed so there's not many endings that would have saved it for me.

Twin Peaks did not need a second or third season.

endings i liked/loved: frasier, ugly betty, lost, angel, buffy, sense8, shadowhunters(it was a hastily put together finale sure, but all the characters i cared about got endings i liked so i was happy with it), rookie historian: GRH, crash landing on you, st: ds9, russian doll.

endings i hated or disliked: game of thrones(tbh i figured it would be hot-garbage of some kind but jfc it was way worse than i was expecting), BSG, how i met your mother, black(a k-drama that was otherwise enjoyable but the ending was so bad it honestly ruined the whole show for me), st: voyager, i loved most if not all of enterprise but that ending was... not great, and voltron was a mess.

Still don't know how I really feel about 27 years later: Quantum Leap - it was unexpectedly heartbreaking

Preacher, broke my fucking heart I swear!
Legion, and (technically) Daredevil. I adored everything about Legion, from start to finish it was everything and more. Daredevil was cancelled, but it still finished with a strong and solid finale. Both of the shows were amazing. imo.
Powerless had a /great/ final four episodes, I was so mad the series got cancelled, even more so when they didn't show the final episodes, but hell they weren't entertaining!

Deadwood would be the worst, since literally /nothing/ happened, even if you counted the goddamn movie! Nothing was resolved, solved, or explained. Which might as well be the definition of the show... I just finished watching it recently, and it was just terrible...
Of course Iron Fist counts, everything about it was the worst hands down, no question, final answer.

I'm sure there's more, but that's what I can remember at the moment!

What is everyone doing this weekend?

We will be doing an Easter dinner but just with the family that lives here. No traveling! And then Sunday I have to get ready to go back to work part time. Other than that, crocheting and playing games with my sisters.

What Fandom Character Would You Choose to be Quarantined With?
