104. Agreed. And then they adopt Chrona and live happily ever after. I feel like I should feel like a terrible person for treating teenagers like their entire future is already set but goshdarnit they are just too adorable for the sensible part of my brain to outwit the mindless fanboy-part.

106. Oh man, Alexis and Starscream. Even as someone who NEVER ships Transformers I just could not ignore the subtexty parts about his deathscene. I mean, yes, she's just a human girl and he's a giant millionyears old robot and it's dumb, I know but man... that scene. How it will not leave me with it's odd implications. Also, agreeing with the part about him not remembering (which to my recollection is because the japanese actually made a NEW series and the dubbers just forced it into the Armada canon). Starscream getting some actual dignity and being something MORE than just a betraying dick was my favorite part in the whole saga, removing that and making all the other longstanding Decepticons dumb shadows of their former selves? No thank you, I think I'll pass and remember Starscream for his badass sacrifice.

124... Well the Hulk and Smoochy was not a pairing that I ever thought I would see but now... oh lord, now I do. I really, truly do.

150. ... You mean there's story to the game that makes them slashable, or is it just like in Team Fortress where it's really just gameplay and then people make their own headcanons? I do so adore the former but I thought Left 4 Dead didn't have an actual storyline per se, being a solely multiplayer game.

Well, there's some light 'stories' associated with the 4 campaigns (basically-- get to safety or die), but Valve did a pretty good job giving the survivors actual character, in terms of what they say to each other or how they react to certain situations, which at least makes shipping for it less of a jump than for TF.

110. I haven't read the comic, but there's a difference between a plot and a message. If she gets called out on her behavior in or out of story, if she's not supposed to be someone you like, if her actions have consequences, there's a huge difference between her and Twilight besides "But she's a girl!" I have no problem with a character doing something bad, my problem is with a character doing something bad and still being loved by everyone in canon and fandom. If the comic says "This character is abusive and manipulative" but not "And you're not supposed to question it because she's CLEARLY PERFECT AND EVERYONE IN THE STORY LOVES HER SO WHY CAN'T YOU," the situation isn't quite comparable to Twilight.

Concurred. While all the male heroes have had moments with Maka one could see as shipperiffic (the scene after she's hospitalized with Black Star and Death the Kid is just made of the kind of adorable I ingest like cupcakes), that was a moment that you just can't deny. And the fact that for most of the dance Maka was stepping on Soul's toes didn't exactly make it any less adorable.
