147. i discovered this manga a while ago and simply devoured it. it's exactly what i needed, especially since i'm a first year teacher myself. i need to watch the drama.

Wow, muy Buffy secrets. Is fandom eating my brain again? *looks around warily*

120: If it'd been my sister up there, I would have let her die. I'd sure as fuck have let Dawn die. (And yes! The first time I saw that scene I my heart was already breaking for Giles, and then Spike broke down and cried and I was in fucking FLOODS of tears.)

123: I don't know. I was fond of hacker!Willow, but it was nice to see her become more confident and come into her own. If the series had kept her character development going, but maintained the computer thing, I would have been a happy bunny other small creature that wouldn't terrify Anya

149: I liked it. I've been listening to 'Rest in Peace' ad nauseam lately.

151: That's a shame, the later books are pretty good. Though I have to admit I wondered why there's no fandom. Aw

106. Get the fuck over your Mary Sue self.

119. Kinky, maybe. But forever unattractive.

134. Agreed!

135. Nobody cares.

137. The movie ruined the book for me. Ruth Gordon always looks evil, no matter what.

139. OTOH, she's a twat and a hack.

141. Get help. Seriously. Unless you're 12, get help.

143. He probably doesn't think of you at all.

144. Uh... That makes you a furry.

146. Liz Lemon = FTW!

149. Whedon is SO fucking over-rated, that ep doubly so.

119. 137.

[identity profile] whatthebec.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
119. James Spader is the sexiest man alive. Goddamn.

137. BEST MOVIE EVER YES!

[identity profile] kiriga.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
117: I. Love. You. So much. Never thought there'd be a Bloody Monday secret here, it feels surrealistic o.o

And butterfly tattoos will never be same same for me again.

160

[identity profile] darkdork13.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
Am I the only HP fan alive who LIKED the epilogue? :/ (Granted, I felt like Harry & Ginny were kind of haphazardly thrown together way before the epilogue, but hey, they're her characters. She probably knows them better than I do.)

112. I love being reminded that there are still KotOR fans out there. ♥

127. Do they have specific ages? (I'd check what other people say about this secret but I can't because my computer is sooo slow.) I know Ariel specifically says in the movie that she's sixteen, and so's Aurora, and for some reason I want to think that Jasmine was fifteen. But 15-16 and having a rack like that? Plus getting married at that age? Whatever, Disney, I know they're fairy tales but I don't want to buy that. It's make more sense on all sorts of levels if they're 21-22. So yeah, I'm with you on that one.

[identity profile] the-summoning-d.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Wasn't Jasmine about to turn 18? I remember something about her having to be engaged by her 18th birthday.

[identity profile] honeysuckle-raw.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
109. ... Stephenie Meyer said this? Please tell me you're joking. If so, this completely negates the argument I was having last night with someone who claims that Meyer never said Edward/Bella were an ideal romance.

127. Yeah, I recently rewatched Sleeping Beauty and was like "WTF?! She's supposed to be 16?!" I'm glad I didn't watch it when I WAS 16, I would have been depressed for weeks.

137. Doesn't everyone think that? Isn't that kinda why it's such a huge cult movie...?

138. I LOVE Ron Pearlman's face! <3 (What about Vincent from Beauty and the Beast?)

[identity profile] nathan-p.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
126. Actually, if a guy I told me he were growing out his beard to look like Oliver Cromwell, I'd tell him that that. Is. Awesome.

125. <3 Yes.

137. HAROLD AND MAUDE FOR THE WIN. My friends think it's weird--I think it's the cutest thing ever.

138. Oh hell yes. I mean I like him outside of Hellboy, but damn. He makes demons hot, it needs to be said.

156. I wonder if this is related to that OTHER D. Gray Man secret from the other day?

I now feel like I am watching a soap opera. GIVE ME MOAR.

157. Thank you. Could not have said it better myself.

[identity profile] amanuensis1.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
122. During my Babylon 5 frenzy, my "I so want this character" list had G'kar at the top for a LONG time.

130. GANKUTSUOU SECRET. *orgasms*

137. Everyone who considers themselves a fannish type should see Harold and Maude, just to understand that all 'shippers must be allowed their freedom to 'ship whatever they please. Because this is the ultimate in oddships and it's so wonderful.

149. I love the Buffy Musical episode! But I don't care about any other episode! So, yeah, clearly it's different meat than the rest of the series; I understand you.

160. I know what you mean--I hate Harry/Ginny but once you start altering the epilogue or divorcing the two to make way for some other pairing I'm all "OMG what about the kids? You can't just ruin their lives to get Harry and Draco boffing!" Damn, that epilogue messed up my sandbox.

re: 149
i love the regular episodes, and the musical. so fucking catchy. D:

[identity profile] etherealtsuki.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
105. Just want to tell you how adorable this secret is. I admit that sometimes I wish to see the world in wide-eye innocent wonder like Yotsuba sometimes. Reading the series reminded me how awesome childhood was.

109. Heathcliff? Pure evil? Considering why Heathcliff turned out that way was understandable although not excusable. Ugh, and she doesn't see a single flaw with Edward, amirite?

118. LOL, not surprising. I remember back in the day when I was active in the Ranma fandom (like 10 years ago), there were the occasional Male!Ranma/Female!Ranma fics (although most use those chapters where Female!Ranma was in love with Male!Ranma, IIRC, I'm not sure since it's been years I read Ranma). So it's not unusual as you think.

127. It's how they're drawn really. I always knew that they were around 16-18 but I totally forgot since I don't watch the series anymore. I'm surprised how much people got squicked knowing in the ages where the legend took place, marriage at 16 was quite normal. Just the sign of the times.

139. While I think the respect thing is kinda silly, but I agree that people shouldn't be on his side. JKR was quite nice to let the guy run the website, then greed on to his head. I remember people blasting Rowling for being greedy for that, as sad as that sounds.

140. If it's for fun, you're doing it very right. Personally, I don't like self-insert fics, but the main point of fandom is fun. As long you having fun, you're doing it right no matter if another person have a certain dislike for the things you have fun doing.

142. Delicious thighs are delicious. I would love to draw them. :3

147. Gokusen is just that awesome. If you never got the chance, watch GTO as well. I know people consider Gokusen a GTO clone (although both series draw heavily from Kinpachi-Sensei), I love the both of them as separate characters. I wish sometimes that someone wrote an epic crossover fic where Yakumi and Onizuka meet. LOL.

148. If they do, ditch them, seriously, but that's a pretty superficial to think less of a person for.

109

[identity profile] wumpie.livejournal.com 2008-12-04 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Edward's flaw is his "self-hate", appaz.

idkkkk twilight is so far gone i just sit back and enjoy the lulz now, i swear the haters are the funniest thing about the whole fandom - they're always whining about how twatters obsess over edward and then they go write essays on him, lol??

118/124

(Anonymous) 2008-12-04 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
I ship different versions of characters or actors various roles together all the time. This is the whole reason for fiction/rp crossovers, alternate realities, magical-cloning/evil-twins, etc in my book. Well... okay, maybe not the whole reason, but it's definitely part of the reason. You don't even scratch the surface of perversity.

116

(Anonymous) 2008-12-04 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
That's fucking disgusting. What would they say if they knew you were shipping them? They both have Myspaces, you know. It wouldn't be hard to link them to this. Take your faggotry and shove it up your ass.

151. I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE PILLAR THEORY TOO! It makes so much sense, especially since everyone was bizarrely OOC right after the pillar. I really dislike Hobb's anti-fanfic stuff, but it wouldn't stop me from reading her books. I mean, I started Shaman's Crossing, but got stuck just like I get stuck with most of her books (especially the Liveship Traders--I liked them, but they can be a bit much in large doses).
