106. I did the same thing but with Hanson: wrote a Mary Sue self-insert before I even had the Internet on my dinky computer so fan fiction as a whole was unknown to me. Then I realized hordes of teen girls would read what I wrote and love it, and man, I've been immersed since then.

With some book/movie fandoms I say, one can like the movie and one can like the book equally, but the Disney version of Alice In Wonderland is so different from the book that it really isn't the same at all. It's like saying you love The Sword In The Stone and have only seen the movie; the two things are completely different.

133. I'm not the biggest fan of Brian/Justin but I give you massive props for liking it for all the right reasons. Fics that take away that element of their relationship are kinda dumb because that's what makes them so exciting to begin with, and it's not in their character (not Brian's anyway) to be fluffy in the way fanfic writers want them to be.

Haha, why does everyone interpret "there's an elevator" as "there's going to be sex in the elevator"?

Small space; the possibility of being stuck there with someone attractive; no way for outsiders to look in when the doors are closed; semi-public, thus naughty and exciting... it's just a nice scenario all around. I'd like to see it happen. I don't expect it to at the current point in the story, though, and would actually be disappointed if did, hence my happiness that she's redoing the chapter. Maybe, just maybe, that elevator will come back up later, when the boys are more... cozy...

I wasn't a fan of the storyline but at least Anna made her own choices and decided what she wanted to do. Ruby was tortured and no one seemed to acknowledge it or care. And the writers really messed up Bela's character (and I hated Dean telling her she should have asked for help earlier).

They had a Twilight event (starting at 6pm) at a mall near my house, and he was going to be there to sign posters. It was a $30 T-shirt-buying entrance fee. My friend and I were going to go just for the LULz before we found out about how much money it would cost for a lame T-shirt, but then at 9am that morning, we heard reports that the lines at the mall were already so long, people got trampled, one girl nearly got asphyxiated, and another broke her nose.

It's obviously not just for Pattinson, else the same thing would have happened for the Potter flicks.

People think he's the character and worship him, but Pattinson himself knows better; he's acknowledge that the fans he encountered at... what was it, WonderCon? "The sound you hear at the gate of hell." Give the guy a pat on the back, he doesn't deserve this shit! I wish him the best though. I don't want to say "I feel sorry for him" or anything similar, because as a young actor, he had to know the possibility. As someone who had to read the books, he had to acknowledge that. I think he'll be around for a while, provided he doesn't get typecast because of this, and more power to him! I liked his version of Edward more than the books!

140 - I don't like it either, but how's that any different from English-reading people using random Chinese characters on clothing/whatnot because it looks exotic and cool? Besides, you can't really blame the authors the majority of the time, because they're just using mass-produced screentones.

140. You know, western films do the same with eastern religions. Make them appear what they want to suit their story-telling purposes. So why should manga-artists and anime creators do any research when Hollywood doesn't?

154. I really hope Ned gets so angry at Chuck that he dumps her and takes Olivia instead. Olivia is way cuter than Chuck and their relationship would be healthier than Ned/Chuck.

I don't lose respect for people, but if they've only seen the movie, I encourage them to give the book a try, too, 'cause yeah, it's so much better. (Nothin' wrong with liking both, though.)

Although I can see where you're coming from. My kneejerk reaction is to froth and flail when someone says they love Peter Pan but have only seen the ~~book raping~~ Disney movie. (Heck, I've met people who think Peter Pan is a Disney creation. *sob*) That just makes me look like a douche, though, so again, I just encourage people to read the source material. Strongly encourage. ^^;

As said before, so much this. The entire family is a case study from hell (or a goldmine, depending) and every bit of canon that we've gotten on their formative years screams issues with not being able to differentiate, triangulation with Dean in the middle, isolation, constant moving forcing new identities, the family secrets, the family business.... it's all quite gothic in a way.

I ship them because of all of this, because the ship seems very plausible from a professional perspective and because (depending on how one wants to read it) all of the signs are there.

140: Yeah, this is fairly typical of mangaka; with a few exceptions, they tend to pick imagery they like, purely for the visual effect. It's the same with Norse, Christian, Egyptian, and whatever other mythologies they happen to stumble over. Just take it for what it's supposed to be.

That actor chose his profession, chose a low-profile project like Harry Fucking Potter to be his first major screen outing, he got to read a shitty script that cast him as a romantic lead and if he was too stupid to realize that it was aimed at the tween audience... well, fuck him.

If he wants to be a poor struggling musician or an indie actor... life will give him plenty of opportunities to sink back into obscurity. Watch him not grabbing those, but rather trying to stay famous, well-paid and well-pampered.

And yes, there are about 200,000 unemployed actors in Hollywood who would change places with him in heartbeat even the paps, the stalking and the loss of their favorite hobby.

He's actually got 2 smaller films coming out and he's about to start filming another smaller film so... Yeah...

Really, it pisses me off when people go and blame them game. It's not forcing your friend to sit there and play it. They're the ones playing it, if they're letting it take over their life and they're abandoning their friends for it then it's THEIR fault, not the games. Quit blaming it. Really.
