They really have some massive differences in quality, both in settings/props and clothing/accessories.
One second you have gorgeously detailed and well built sets and the next second you get obvious paper mâché walls being kicked in. There are the most beautiful robes and clothes and then you get all the close-ups on obvious rubber soles on the boots and silly plasticky looking swords. And then there are the massive quality differences with all the wigs. Some look amazing and realistic and then you get wigs like Nie Huaisang's that just looks matted and ill-fitting.
I really got the feeling that they overspent on their budget too quickly and then ran out of funds for some things.

I completely agree with the first part. Personally I don't care much about Diana, though I'm not much a fan about her voice actress.

On the one hand I remember them calling out Bush Jr. back in the day and I like that they were outspoken, and it sucks that they were hated on for that. On the other hand, I just don't like their music other than maybe one or two songs whereas I like quite a lot of Taylor's music.

Holy shit, never expected to see this over here. What you're reading in those compilations often tends to be the early shit, the power wanking was so much worse in the early shit. As for the Ponies, yeah, it more or less got kickstarted by that fandom but thankfully everyone got sick of them to the point their thread barely gets posted to lately.

Indeed, spacebattles has a lot of power wank in general (hi Worm fandom), but we've been at least trying to put the boot to anything particularly awful in our little corner.

Ooh, wow, another person that doesn't like Leeta :O There's at least two of us! I agree fully; I thought her ultra-sweetness was kind of put-on in the first place, but after that I definitely thought it came off as completely fake. Idk if that was intentional or not, but I hated seeing her onscreen from then on out.

I agree. There are exceptions when the use of particular aesthetics is blatantly disrespectful even to me, but for the most part I don't really get the outrage. Especially like my own culture, which is quickly fading among younger generations--I'm happy when I see other people using or borrowing cultural elements, because it means I can feel slightly less guilty that I'm not doing my part.

Would not try to argue this anywhere normally. It's not worth it...
