I did the same thing during that huge blackout a few years ago!

Not sure where you spend your time, but I see a hell of a lot of people throughout fandom who object to Jack/Gwen because of Rhys.

135. You know, I could probably agree with you if you'd said Yoochun wasn't the strongest singer. But I have to draw the line at 'useless'. If you'd take note, he's the boy who they're actually allowing to COMPOSE stuff to put on actual albums and singles. I'd count that as contributing. For a member of a boyband in the Asia Pop Machine, that's contributing in a big, and highly impressive, way.

Ah, you're right. I did forgot about Yoochun's composing. How many songs has he composed on their albums though? Well, perhaps he shouldn't be part of the group as a singer then and should, instead, be composing. Honestly, I really don't dislike the group, but they ARE supposed to be singers (even if they are idols). The least I would expect of them are decent vocals. And (in my very humble opinion), the only one who has really demonstrated an ability to actually sing well consistently is Junsu. Jaejoong does too sometimes, but I hate his new singing style (nasal and slightly higher than he used to be). Anyway, beyond my hang-ups, they really are entertaining to watch as a group. Especially their synchronized dancing... Which is why I say their teamwork seems to be the best.

150: Any fans (Janto fans or otherwise) who think that Captain Jack is even capable of monogamy are not paying attention to canon. Whether Gwen is capable of it is an open question, but at least Jack never promised it to anyone.

Where in canon is Jack explicitly shown as being incapable of periods of monogamy?

I doubt he and Ianto are monogmaous ("dabbling" doesn't exactly suggest a serious committment) but canon does show Jack was publically married in Edwardian times (generally suggesting a pledge of faithfulness) and had a significant relationship with Estelle. Then there is Captain John's time loop, though I suppose that would be enforced monogamy more than anything else.

I am bi and poly, and yet there have been periods of my life in which I was, in fact, monogamous and/or only shagging men. It's not an either/or forever and ever thing for everyone.

I'm SO totally with you on this one. I don't like the Twilight books and I thought the film was lame but I'm kinda in love with Robert Pattinson.

I have one that I really like! The Sum of the Parts (http://asylums.insanejournal.com/chaotic_library/21140.html#cutid1), it's manga based and only has Roy mentioned (and in a Roy/Riza kind of way, but >_>). The authoress has done other fics of this pairing, but that's the only one I can remember right away that had severe toppage. 135. "can't accept own faults"? I think I more see that particular trait as him being a disturbing perfectionist who would probably fall over dead before allowing himself to get something wrong. A trait that I find more terrifying than annoying, but I suppose everyone gets their own interpretations.

From my experience, perfectionists have a tendency to bring more attention to their mistakes because they can't let it go. But, yeah, I can see how you would think he's a perfectionist. They all are in a way. It's weird because from interviews, he's apparently the most easy-going person of the bunch. It's just that a few times, the way he deflected the mistakes he had made (by blaming something or other) really rubbed me the wrong way. Even if it might have been a joke, a lot of the time it came off as serious and eventually I felt like he was always making excuses. You know, I know I sound really critical, but he's actually one of my favorite members.

I care.

People randomly assume I have Gwen Issues because I'm a Jack/Ianto fan, but it has nothing to do with that. The way she treats a sweet person like Rhys makes me want to cry.

I agree completely.

FUCK YEAH REDCLOAK! He's probably one of, if not the most emotionally developed characters in the comic. Especially if you've read Start of Darkness.
