Intellectual property laws are stupid and bad, and the shittiness imposed on us by the present state of intellectual property laws is worse than anything that 98% of fan artists or ficcers will ever do, so I think complaining about them "making it worse" is just getting things completely in the wrong order.

TB - I don't know why, but I find the image of Uranus smoking to be very amusing.

But I mostly agree with the secret... we have choices of where we can go. People don't have to leave, but they can certainly make use of the AO3 filter more and at least learn that the site was created so that people COULD write problematic content.
