.... hmmm. Would it be more a relationship that's rooted in said fandom, or a relationship that grew out of said fandom? Because if it's the latter, then I'm not convinced I understand the negative! However, a romantic relationship that revolves around a fandom doesn't sound entirely right, I suppose. Hnn....

4. Me too. Me too! I got my mom into House, and of course, I'm the one who introduced her to the concept of slash. (She thinks it's a generational thing and is. . .amused by my enthusiasm for it, even if she doesn't think she understands it. She's not interested in shipping House/Wilson just yet--then again, she's only seen through the first fifteen or so episodes. I'm curious to see if the vibes come off as strongly to her as to me, when we get to some of the later ones. :))

4. Nothing wrong with House/Cuddy! :D Although I'm a hardcore House/Wilson fan, if there's anyone I'd want House to realistically end up with, it's her. <3 (My mom seems to like House/Cuddy, which is SO much better than her liking House/Cameron, though I AT LEAST WISH SHE SAW THE HOUSE/WILSON RIDICULOUSNESS. T__T C'MON, MOM.)

I was wondering about that, too. If it grew out of a fandom why would it seem wrong? :) My relationships grew out of a shared love of physics (oh this is going to go over well) so I don't see anything wrong with relationships growing out of a fandom. But yeah, for a relationship rooted in a fandom... maybe a bit weird...

Heya, I know the person who did the secret and advised them to make it clear it was fandom-related, but I guess that was after they sent it in. D: Basically, that's someone who got close to them--got close to a lot of us, really, but them in particular--through fandom and ended up manipulating the hell out of all of us.

Dunno if that makes it eligible or not, but that's the story. :/

I was kind of horrified to learn she did it to someone else. x_x

I only know some of what she did from kinneas, but it seems that our stories are the same just a few years apart. Makes me wonder if she's doing it to someone else right now.

Kinda personal, so I won't go into the details, but the general gist of it is that she told a lot of lies about herself to get pity and attention, (and I mean serious stuff, like saying she had cancer), while at the same time overexaggerating or outright lying about stuff that made her sound appealing (saying she was friends with band members, etc). I myself was really good friends with her for a few years--even spent a few days with her IRL--and because she managed to keep most of the lies straight, none of us suspected she was playing us for fools until just a few months ago. It was kind of a creeping realization, though.

That was in regards to me and my other friend, though. To klytaemnestra and the person who sent in the secret? She did so much more.

Ugh, I know. x_x When she told me about all the parallels, I was even more disgusted than I had been before, when I thought she'd only done that shit to her. (Then again, the new revelations caused me to think back on how the manipulator in question had lamented about one of her good friends "abandoning" her a while back because of something horrible that had happened to her, and I realized that had probably been a similar situation, and that other good friend had probably finally gotten smart and gotten sick of her lies.)

So yeah, I have no doubts she's moved on to leech off someone else. God help them. :/

For all I know she might have been referring to me since I did stop coddling her after some time. She really was masterful at what she did. I always suspected things, but I was so taken with her at the time that I just looked past it. And when my mum more or less forced me to rethink my friendship with her, I started seeing things differently. Until the other week, however, some part of me still thought there was some truth to our friendship ... unfortunately, now I know it was just her using someone like she had likely done before, and did after and will do again.
