139: This has little to do with the content of your secret, but it really bugs me when people use pics where one person has been edited out and another edited in.

149: Oddly enough, I just spent a couple of hours re-reading bits of Girl Genius. It's such a great pick-me-up when you're a bit down. Lars really was cute.

Honestly, right now I have no idea how anything Agatha/Tarvek can come about in the comic itself - the kindest thing she has to say about him is "I don't want anyone to die - even you!" (I'm NOT saying people can't ship it, I just can't see how it could happen in canon.)

I agree completely. It was really bugging me too. Poor Mai, she doesn't deserve this.

Am I the only one who finds it a little creepy? How hard must it be to marry someone and then have to act like she's your sister/he's your brother.

Yeah, same here. This actually reminds me of the 2008 election episode of South Park. It was so awesome that a part of me kinda wished it was real. The whole election just one giant ruse to steal the Hope diamond = Genius.

Sooooo word. I heard she'd wanted off the show, but there were much, much better ways to do it in my opinion.

No, she didn't want off. She wanted to come back for S5 and assumed she was. She didn't find out she was fired until she saw the cast announcement in May (when we all did) which had James Marsters listed but no Charisma Carpenter. Very rude, tacky and vindictive of Joss to fire her and not tell her especially since she'd just had a baby and the new fall shows had already been cast so it was too late to get a new job.

160. Maybe you just don't make a good character? I'm not saying you're a bad person or anything- I don't know you. Maybe you're a really great person. Sometimes though, that doesn't make a great character... for instance, there's lots of real people- celebrities and the like- who, while they are real, existing people... wouldn't make believable characters. Yes? So maybe you should just... make up your own characters if you're going to do that? :D

168. OMG YES. I would totally read that. It's unfortunate that there isn't a lot of Dexter fic, and RPF is non-existent.

159. To be honest, anon, I assumed that he wasn't. There are alot of character twitters, and they are all, as far as I know, done by roleplayers and fans.

And for the record--yes, I follow him too and think the mun (whoever they may be) is brilliant.

I know, but it's written so well, I just can't think it's anyone else but Jhonen. But because of roleplayers and fans, I can't 100% trust that it is the real Jhonen Vasquez.

Here's the thing: I enjoy those fantasies, too. My inner life is full of a character (very) loosely based on myself being generally badass all over my fandoms.

Thing is, those fantasies the fandom equivalent of masturbating. It's fine to do in private, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people do, but most folks don't really want to see it in public. I don't think there's anything to be ashamed of for writing self-inserts, but the fact is? Most people, myself included, don't want to read ones by other people. It's YOUR fantasy, not mine. I doubt you'd find my self-insert at all interesting, either.

125. As a Sokka/Azula and above all, an AZULA FAN, I can say that I've personally felt attacked by this, in comms and in real life, while I was speaking to friends about my ship, or about what I think about Azula.

I just hate when slash shippers can get away bashing het and when a het shipper says "hey I don't think slash between these two COULD EVER happen" they (and I am speaking in general terms here, not referring specially to ATLA fandom) "YOU HOMOPHOBIC FREAK".

I mean, I am perfectly OK if you ship those two. Just pay a little respect to the ones who do not share your opinion, even if their group is smaller or their pairing is not mainstream. Respect above all guys.
