(also, I met Yuri and he was awesome, and NO ONE I KNOW cares at all. So I'm telling you, secret poster. Yuri is awesome.)

I know what you mean. Cordelia is one of my favorite characters ever, and just... ugh, what they did to her. It's silly to have such a resentment, but I do. I was grateful her last episode was good, I think in that way Joss sent her off very well, but they way the defiled the character makes me cringe. At least they said it was an evil demon, but damn, that's some of the worst TV I've ever seen. :(

125) To start, if you're looking for "canon proof" that Azula is a lesbian, you're kind of missing the point of how slash ships actually work in fandom, as well as the realities of American children's television. (Even if the creators had intended her to be a lesbian, they wouldn't have been able to make it a concrete and undeniable part of the show. Think Sozin's so-obvious-many-consider-it-canon-but-never-explicitly-stated unrequited love for Roku, you know?)

That said: where is this het-ship-bashing taking place? Because I've never seen it? I've seen people make good-natured fun of various crack ships because they're cracky (Azula/Haru, for instance) but I've never seen anything like what you seem to be talking about.

116. Oh, bb. I loved the idea of Dean/Jo. Although I watch and love the show, I'm not deep into the SPN fandom, so I wouldn't know if she was hated or not. Either way, it wouldn't matter. I'd still like Dean/Jo.

142. Don't get me started. Cordy was my favorite character from Buffy all the way through to Angel. I adore Charisma Carpenter(still a huge fan of hers). I can go on all day about how they completely fucking assassinated her character. To this day, I'm bitter about it. When I re-watch Angel, I have to sit through that bullshit they put her through in season 4 and her absence in s5(with the exception of her sendoff ep "You're Welcome"). She was the heart of the show, and then she was gone. Then, the whole dynamic of the show changed. *sighs* /rant

142. IAWTS so much. I loved Angel!Cordy and the fact that we really only got three seasons of her sucked so bad (and even knowing that it wasn't "really her" for season 4, it still feels like character assassination. and I loved season 4). And the Angel comics suck, so even if they do bring her back for those (which they probably won't) it won't be any good.
150. Okay, I'm totally going to get flamed for this, but, um, JKR wrote the books. And she clearly planned ahead. I had a whole argument typed up here about how it was in character, if stupid and selfish, for Lupin to do what he did, but the basic thing is that I really do think JKR knows her characters better than we do (and this is clearly not the case for all authors, see character assassination example above).
160. It depends. A lot of people tend to write their self inserts not as themselves, but a bright and shiny reimaging of themselves. Extremes in embellishment are par for the course in self inserts. But people do tend to jump all over OCs with the Mary-Sue label, and I'd argue that even a self-insert can be done well, if possibly boring for everyone else.
164. This is totally not who I think it is, because she doesn't read F!S AFAIK, but *hugs* if it is you :D
170. FUCK but that show got bad. I love the old episodes, though, when they stuck to a semiruleabiding set of magic rules and the girls weren't all completely flanderized. And when the plots were interesting.
