This was the song to the trailer of the movie, this song got me to watch the movie and as such I love this song. It isn't my fave but it IS good, I think. So I'm with you on this (though, I'm not in the fandom, didn't know it was hated).

158. I think it's hard to fic Milk because of what is is - an account of the life of Harvey Milk, his rise to his position and his fight for gay rights. It's odd to fic because you'd be adding things that never happened to something that's a biography. Personally, I'd feel wrong ficcing Milk. It'd feel like redcuing something that's really important to people (did anyone else see the..screenwriter I think it was, taking the award on the Oscars?), something that was inspiring, and someone's life to "lol I need hot fic of Milk and this character". Maybe people write it, I don't know, and I have a guilty icon of the birthday kiss, it still makes me feel weird.

Fair enough. It's not exactly an opinion I'm proud of, hence the secret-making. I guess for me I'm more interested in fic that would further explore the relationships already present in the movie, whether romantic or not, and dig deeper into the whole story. I don't think I'd be quite as interested in fic that was just about teh hott sex.

Basically, I just didn't want the movie to be over.

And yeah, the Oscar speech was awesome. This is one of the few times I've watched the Oscars and actually *cared*.

118. Little kids don't understand gender distinction for the most part. Society implants that as they grow. I work in childcare, and I see tiny boys dressing up all the time. For the vast majority, it's just play. They want to do what looks fun, what their elders and peers do. It doesn't necessarily indicate anything about their sexuality or gender identity. At all.

146. I still like it. It got over-exposed for a while, but who cares? It's a good song.

158. I hope there won't be any fic. Harvey died so that gays could have rights, not so his life could be exploited for the pleasure of fangirls. I would be pretty disgusted by any fic that went into that sort of realm with Harvey.

129. Don't feel alone, you're not the only late-comer I joined about a month ago and have yet to stop talking about it. I think I've even read it more than my previous fangirling novel. But I can't really see Aziraphale and Crowley like that canonically (But it's hot.) But for who I keep on imagining Aziraphale as in my head, well, it's more wrong than Stephen Fry. (For one, not seemingly British, Though I think the other two observations are true. But the physical description is very different too...)

146. Another "Don't feel alone" to you. I love the song (But I don't like RENT beyond some of the songs, which makes me a bad fan of another modern musical in the eyes of the fandom, since it's an exception to what I like.
