Basically it was no better than the ridiculous teen manga out there, except they both (allegedly) had dicks. Just because something is "canon yaoi" doesn't mean every yaoi fan loves it.

I had a taste of this when Arthur Clarke died last year and I was inconsolable for a while, and everyone went around telling me he was ninety, old people do that, chill out, but I think -- mentally, we put living people and dead people into neat separate categories, and we expect them to stay there, and when there's a clear and present danger that they won't, it upsets us.

165. I've been having issues with how one-sided the narrative seems toward Dean, too. I love Dean, but sometimes he's a downright asshole, but the show seems to be letting Dean get away with so much without letting us see how it is negatively affecting Sam -- except pushing Sam darker, which is more Sam's fault than Dean's, so Dean still comes out smelling like roses in comparison.

It's frustrating. It's not that they can't make mistakes and hurt each other, it's that they (the writers) seem to be ignoring Sam's characterization, so we don't see that Dean hurts him, we just see Dean say "blah blah, I'd hunt you," and Sam get his stubborn bitchface on.

As you said, you're eighteen years of age and therefore whatever consensual relationship you get into with an older man is 100% legal, so who cares what anyone else thinks?

It was 2000, and I had never heard of him before, so I somehow assumed that it was a hardcore band (I guess I judged based on the person who invited me to come along to the show with him). What are you talking about? Teta died, her ending certainly wasn't happy. The ending wasn't happy at all. Delita brought some justice to Ivalice but at what price? Ramza was the only character who did good for goodness' sake and he was outcast as a heretic and forced to fade into obscurity. His actions were never recognized by anyone except Olan, who was burned at the stake for treason when he tried to defend Ramza.

103. Inuyasha helped get me into Anime as well! I watched it with my mom, and an ongoing joke is that we wold repeat Miroku's line, "Inuyasha is very cunning," every time he ran up and smashed something on the head with his sword.

110. I feel that a series becoming more gender-balanced is a valid reason to take another look at the canon. And to be honest, there are much fewer powerful female characters than male ones, so it's understandable that women would be more excited at the idea of them.

Though they are adolescents in appearance, they both seem to be about the stage of twelve-year-olds, romantically. I like things as they are, with Yuuri at least admitting that Wolfram and Greta are now his family.
