Favorite Thanksgiving side dishes

Apparently this is a rather controversial question: what is/are your favorite Thanksgiving side dish(es)?


*In my opinion, there are no wrong answers here, as this holiday is all about special foods and being thankful for that bounty.

Really nice so far. I made French toast for brunch and opened a bottle of champagne. Relaxing and watching football now. I'll start cooking in three or four hours, plenty of time to grab a quick nap. Ta!

Fine. Food has been made, eaten, and cleaned up. Everyone has left so now I am just relaxing.

...Yeah, I mostly avoid pop music so I never heard this "super popular" song until a couple years after the fact when he performed it live on some show I was watching for other reasons. My reaction was basically "Is it supposed to sound like this? Is there something just terribly wrong?"

(And I mean, I like some music that is "noise". Sonic Youth and their feedback solos and so on. This, I just don't get.)

I accidentally slept through the Thanksgiving meal, and honestly I don't feel too bad about it. We did appetizers around noon, so I'm not exactly starving. I woke up 10 minutes ago, and I'm procrastinating on going out and being social.

If you had a major life decision to make, would it be pathetic to ask friends for advice? They're old friends, but this is not something we regularly do as part of our friendship.

1. Corn casserole. One of my favorite foods period. So delicious
2. Mashed potatoes
3. salad
4. green beans
5. stuffing (as long as it doesn't have too much celery in it, I hate cooked celery)

I like these tropes too but just recently saw a take on twitter shitting on it because characters meddling with each others' eating habits is actually evil, shouldn't be romanticized, etc

Not too bad. I was watching the parade while getting everything ready. Turkey's almost done and we'll probably eat in the next hour or so.

Ham. I look forward to the ham more than the turkey. We eat turkey at other times during the year, but we only eat ham on Thanksgiving.

I'm done. Legal ways Do Not Work. So what's the best way to straight up murder the squatters that have been vandalizing my neighbourhood for the last year and half? For months and moths my intrusive thoughts have suggested setting fire to the huge piles of garbage they're living in and until now always decided against it, but...

Definitely not pathetic. It might be a little awkward since it’s not a regular part of your relationship, but asking close friends for advice on major decisions seems very reasonable to me.

I haven't watched the whole season but from what I have watched so far, I thought she was fine. And her not knowing how to ride a bike was one of the overall highlights for sure.

I would say it crosses into having sort of a sexual, dom-sub energy sometimes.

Which I honestly don't intrinsically mind, at all, but it's very awkward if the writer isn't aware they're doing it.
