142. I mostly agree with this. I prefer 2D and was furious when Disney got rid of their traditional animation studios. That being said, I'm a huge fan of Pixar's movies and was blown away by Ratatouille--that was the first computer animated film that made me go "Wow, this is ART!" I want to see 2D and 3D films reside hand in hand in US theaters. I don't think either should replace the other--both are awesome and valid mediums.
...So, yeah, I pretty much agree with you.

116. Well, we don't know if the marriage will be loveless. In fact, it makes no freaking sense for Arthur to marry a maidservant for a marriage of convenience since that would probably cause more problems for him than if he married a woman of similar rank. It seems a good way to risk Gwen getting executed for the sake of being a "beard" or whatever reason he would have to marry her without love. So if there is a marriage, I can only see it happening because they honestly love each other.

But, on the other hand, I would probably have a similar reaction to that icon. I love the show as it is now. I can only dread any of them reaching adulthood because that's where everything goes to shit.

Then again, Nimueh's died before she could poison Merlin with the sleep of a-thousand-and-some-odd years, so who knows how many of the legends Merlin will avert? Some are completely contradictory anyway.

122. Nick bored me. I felt that he really wanted to have it both ways. If anarchic satire was his real goal, he probably wouldn't have been so affected by the judges' criticism. He played a clown, but then seemed offended when the judges reacted to him as if he was one Big Joke.

I didn't feel like I was watching someone have fun out there, but as someone who was using as character as a shield from potential barbs.

And Sanjaya did it better.

152. I scroll past the smut parts. Not because I get offended, I just get very bored. I like action, adventure, hurt/comfort, dialogue, and a little romance now-and-then, but smut makes me bored. And I tend to get meta about parts of fanon, but I never meta about ships, or really care who gets with whom in canon.

159. heather11483 has a great post (http://heather11483.livejournal.com/79767.html) filled with Morgana and Gwen oriented recs that I've been slowly making my way through. I love Arthur and Merlin too, but I also love the entire foursome, so sometimes I get a bit twitchy. But this fandom actually seems to be pretty good about writing for the ensemble as well as the most popular pairing, actually.

Hey, now. I'm absolutely with you on every point, bar two: Chicken Little I haven't seen so I've got no opinion on how good/bad it is, and I will maintain until my dying day that Lion King 3 (or Lion King 1 1/2) is a damn fine movie.

105 - I tend to be wary of people's understanding of the human condition when they appear to be as judgmental as you are.

116 - Screw ~*legend, I'd be glad if Merlin took the AU thing to another level and didn't bother with getting them together at all (or if they don't get together until waaay after the series ends).

132 - If someone's automatic response towards hearing that someone is interested in Japan is OMG WEEABOO even if the person is clearly not, then they're just idiots and desperate to put someone down. Don't waste your time worrying about what hopeless causes on the internet may say.

152 - Well, you know, sex doesn't work very well if the writer doesn't seriously, seriously take into consideration the chemistry between the two. The way the characters interact outside of the bedroom is pretty much always more interesting to me than how they act in it (I mean, I ship people because I love the way they interact and would work together as people). I would agree with you on how sexualized fandom is, but I can't really complain myself because most of my fandoms aren't so overwhelmingly porn-ridden (but maybe I just don't notice it, I dunno).

169 - scans_daily was filled with maybe some of the whiniest and spiteful people I've ever seen in fandom (seriously, Dan Didio did not run over your dog, nor did he rape your mother. Just sayin') but I'm going to miss all of it anyways.

109 - I saw it too, and I was OK with it. I did have to redo the final battle an asston of times to keep Jauffre and Baurus alive though, I couldn't stand them dead. And I had a harder time killing Valteri and seeing Lucien dead than any of that.

142. HELL YES! As an animation student, I totally feel it! There's a lot of love for both types out here, though, so I don't think about it that much. I love 2D to death, but I don't want 3D dead. Look at what Pixar has done, look at what Dreamworks has done (even though I feel their storiess need more work.)

That said, the reasoning for the brief decision from Disney to never make another 2D pissed me off. It's just it: they can both be either crappy or awesome, and 2D getting the shaft was... well, it was dumb.

Me, I want more tradigital stuff like Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. That film was downright beautiful.
