Also, just wondering, since I've never met anyone else to talk about the book with- I think Helena Bonham Carter would make a wonderful Beatrice, and Jack Davenport would be the perfect Doctor What's-His-Face (argh, been too long since I've read the book)

Eee! I'm so glad there are other people who think like me! I've often thought about how much I'd love them to film it, but at the same time, it's one of those books where I have incredibly vivid mental images of the characters and I wouldn't want them to mess it up!

109- I thought the entire main questline was tedious and predictable and generally too irritating - but I was also hit hard by Martin's death. I'm not sure why, maybe it's because his was the only character that had a unique voice actor!

Well, no, that's a lie. Vicente Valtieri also had his own voice actor. I think.

116- I'm pretty sure these folks stopped reading up on the legends after "..marries Guinevere". The show, however, may not even take the canon romances to any real degree of seriousness, so for now, it's really all just fun anyway.

Let them have their fun for now, in case the writers decide they want to end the show in the same way as the legends...

LOL OMG THAT'S SO FUNNY.

...except, if you actually watched the show, you'd know the writers have taken the legend so far off-track that it's hard to say what's going to happen or why they'll get married -- if the show even makes it that far. Even if it DOES make it to Arthur/Gwen getting married, it won't get as far as the end of the marriage or Arthur's death.

And what version are you going by? How do you know which version THEY'LL go by? They've flipped everything. He's not poor in this version and she is. There's probably droves of noblewomen he could choose from if all he wanted was a political marriage or a beard.

IDK, I don't even ship them particularly hard (no more than I ship anyone else, I reckon), but secrets like this bug me. There's plenty of time for fandom to get bogged down in stupid ship wars. Right now, anything could happen.

105. Damien Rice? I love him to bits. But... I don't judge people who don't like him. I think he's one of the most talented musicians out there right now, but not everyone is looking for the human condition in their music. Some people just want catchy tunes and beats that they can dance to, or just don't want to be brought down by the lyrics of the music they have. So I understand your point because I adore what he does, but I don't think it's fair to expect everyone else in the world to want the same things from their music as you do. And some people don't understand the human condition, on top of that.

111. I have such a crush on Niles. I also like Remus, but like Wilson, I find him very very flawed. I feel like Niles is in a neurotic class all his own, though, lmao. Remus and Wilson seem more similar in temperament to me.

119. I liked teacher/student when I was in high school, but it's become more creepy to me the older I've gotten, because I start to realise how young the student characters really are and I can't handle it.

121. I agree. She can be a little much at times, but I genuinely feel for her. She has jealousy issues and it's not surprising considering the situation, but she's a kid. She'll probably grow out of it. And if she doesn't, then she doesn't, but it's absurd that so many people think that she's unforgivable when she's EIGHT. You can't predict that she won't grow out of it, and I think her parents are handling it as well as they can. I know that atm it's kind of trendy to call them abusive manipulative exploitative etc, but I don't see any evidence of that except in people's online blogs. They seem good parents in stressful situations, and Mady (just like all the kids) are going to be growing up in an unusual environment. I also think that, like all kids, she misbehaves at times, and she can be selfish. Just like all kids. I've never understood why people are so hateful to a child.

126. I'm okay with them because I have to be to like him, lmao. But I think that his actions toward Harry were completely out of nowhere, and didn't ring true to me for the character. His trying to get out of that suffocating relationship with Tonks, I understood and was unsurprised by (though I was a bit puzzled by its sudden and unexplained resolution... Harry criticises him, the baby is born, and suddenly everything is fixed? Uh.)

134. I also find his show unfunny. I'm really surprised they even gave him one, since he always seemed like such a weak link in the other bits I'd seen him in. People seem to love him and I keep watching waiting for it to amuse me... and it just doesn't.

140. Weirdly, I could never ship Briar with anyone. (Except maybe me, lmao, in my youngest fan days).

144. I love JJ so much, and I think he's one of the most relate-able characters on the show! Don't be worried. Better to relate to him (or Thomas) than any of the other characters, imho. He might be troubled but he's not abusing anyone else through it, as most of the other characters are.
