I've been compiling recs and such, just so people know what's already being written, and I'm starting to write my own as well, but the Merthar/Anything Else ratio in fandom is going to make it short-lived and small. Diversity is good. I've got a couple friends I've been trying to convince to join me in Merlin fandom but they're like "but isn't it all pretty much Merlin/Arthur?"

SCC secret AT FUCKING LAST. I was getting a bit depressed by the lack of love this show was being shown.

It's an epic series, and it makes me SQUEEEEEEE that somnone else watches it and ships this. They're so sweet together, but to be honest, there's not a char in the show that isn't awsome all on their lonesome. I would watch it regardless of who is with who.

The problem is that some of the recent episodes have made absolutely no sense. (the sleep clinic? What was going on there?! Why did they even go to the factory, or the funeral. Possibly I'm just really thick, but it's all making so little sense to me.)(latest episode was full of YES! though)
I can see why fewer people are watching it.

There's sort of a new community, but some of the community...not pillars, I can't quite bring myself to call them that (hee), but some of the central people decided not to join it, and it's not the same.

134. I love him so, but I haven't been able to watch his show. I know it won't be funny. Like Frank Caliendo. Hilarious, the both of them, in stand-up comedy. I'll watch them do stand-up for hours. But please don't make it a show.

142. Word. My biggest peeve with 3D, aside from what Disney did (that is slowly being fixed), is that there was a sudden glut of utter crap. But really, these days, my only problem with it is if it just doesn't fit the story. Every Pixar movie was a story that was supposed to be told in CG. No Disney classic would benefit from being all CG'd. It's a matter of which medium does the story the most justice.


146. Yeah, there's one show I think I'll never be able to watch again because of that. Granted, it's been ages since I watched anime anyway.


152. I think I relate. I feel a little more "I'd hit it" about some characters, but mostly that means I just want to cuddle or something. I can't read smut. It's either so bad it's terrible, or it just doesn't do anything for me. I like romance, but not the sex.

At any rate, I think it's a pretty safe assumption, after so many creator's comments, that the big two knew about it and turned a blind eye, until LJ heard someone was going to complain personally to Marvel.

Beatrice is the BEST character EVER. And I'm not afraid to admit it. C'mon, she happily plays dominatrix for her brother, lies to her husband about her child's parentage, numerous other crimes, and all in the name of being a land owner in her own right in a time when daughters were just married off!

Beatrice WAS the Squire of Wideacre, and I've read every other Gregory book there is now because of that trilogy introduction to the author all those years ago.

Then he has twelve years of loneliness and prejudice from the wizarding world and shit, but then he gets a sweet job and finds out the love of his life is innocent and they're reunited and it's lovely (even though he gets fired), but then a year later the world goes to hell again because Voldemort comes back and then a year after that, the love of his life gets murdered right in front of him. And then he thinks he's ruined the life of the person he turned to for a little hurt/comfort goodness. And lots of other people die and stuff. I would have completely melted down WAY before that.
