Two, I love that interpretation, even if it's not part of my personal canon--Rorschach's more one-sided friendship is sad, even without him having feelings for Dan. And yay for loving something as a work of literature as well as in a shippy way! I hate it when people assume that those involved in fandom don't care about the work itself, or don't "get" it because we write fanfic, or make silly macros, or whatever.

could never stand up on her own two feet, are you fucking serious? did you watch series four at all? she stood up to the doctor plenty of times, more so than martha or rose from what i've read. donna was the reason i watched doctor who. i had never seen it before series four. and i think you're wrong about that 90%... it seems like a lot actually ship the doctor and donna, surprisingly.

114 - I loved Donna. I think I'd go as far as to say she was my favourite Whovian character ever. Anyway, I don't think she was an idiot. Sure, she could be kind of airheaded, but when it was important, she was actually pretty intelligent.

Anyway, I don't ship Doctor/Rose AT ALL (Rose is also my least favourite of all the companions). I liked Donna's relationship with the Doctor because it was nice to have a woman who wasn't so completely smitten with him that she couldn't point out his flaws. I also liked that she challenged the Doctor a lot. I felt like she was actually more of his equal because she wasn't a starry-eyed young girl in love.

114. I guess I am part of the other 10%. I liked her because she allowed the Doctor to be who he was, a time hopping, space traveling alien. She didn't expect him to be anything more. Not a father figure. Not a potential boyfriend. Just a Gallifreyan.

I swear, all of the love stories take up way too much of the plotline in this show. I want to see the Doctor explore without having someone fall in love with him every other episode.

AND FOR GOD'S SAKE GET SOME NEW ALIENS! No more Daleks. No more Cybermen. No more Ood. I know you have budget limits but take a page from Star Trek. Slap on some pointy ears or a crinkled nose on an actor and dub him a new alien race. (Heck, they didn't do any of that with Q and he's still one of the best aliens ever.) This show has so much wasted potential.
