... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and I'll try my best to use an appropriate image choice. Just to clarify - it's my intention to make all the secrets left in this thread, so even if they're not marked claimed, they will be made.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

The Witches in Tam O'Shanter were completely within their rights to chase Tam away. They had their witches ball in an abandoned building, off the beaten path, and well after dark. He ought not have been perving at them from a window.

It disturbs me that I seem to have a massive thing for fictional devil stand-ins. Just villain isn't enough for me anymore. They have to be intended to be a devil character to get me especially excited.

Thanks to the talk about Mercedes Lackey a few weeks back, I started rereading her Valdemar books.

They're holding up surprisingly well against my memories of them.

When I was younger, Vanyel's series was my fav. Dramatic plots, gay lead, tragic romance, I was IN. They're still just as fun and melodramatic as I remembered.

But these days Talia's story of being the odd one out and finally finding her home resonates more. I spent the reread of her trilogy crying my eyes out.

I've never had a crush on on anyone like a celebrity or a fictional character before - but now as a grown adult I have a crush on Glamrock Freddy from Five Night's at Freddy's Security Breach.

I'm actually enjoying the current reboot/revival trend. If it gives us awesome things like Fantasy Island, Cobra Kai, BSG, She-Ra, and Nikita, it is worth the many duds to get them. And if there were no reboots or revivals, we wouldn't have New Who or any of the recent awesome Trek things.

I've been watching a bunch of fishing videos on youtube, and I notice one of the channels I follow, the guy has a tattoo on the inside of his wrist. It is either a peace sign or the neo nazi "death rune", and I am too scared to ask which. I can't cope with the disappointment if it turns out to be the latter, I have far too many problematic faves as it is. I can't take another creator going Nazi on me.

Fandom is... this one guy's fishing videos, I guess.

Of the two He-Man revival shows there have been recently on Netflix, I think the cgi one for kids has managed to stay closer to the spirit of the original show than the one whose creator claimed was a direct continuation of it. The former might have changed pretty much everything beyond the basic premise and some names, but it captured the heart behind it.

It is weird how both of them had their first seasons end essentially the same way though.

I've been binge watching SeaQuest DSV lately. I remember loving it as a kid, and for the most part it has held up... but what in the Hell happened to that show for the last season?

I genuinely don't understand how Daithi De Nogla has so many more subscribers than CallMeKevin. Obviously about 5 million people disagree with me, but CMK's brand of being annoying seems infinitely less aggressive and rude than Daithi's. Is that the appeal?

I did not expect to connect with the Charlie the Unicorn finale in the way I did. It thought it was just going to be a nostalgic lol random time, and it was, until the end hit. I feel it's the only piece of media that has expressed the despair I feel about the world going to shit and everyone telling me that I shouldn't be depressed.

Task Master New Zealand (season 2) is better than any season of the original British Task Master. And if I had the guts to say that unanon, I'd fight for the opinion.

I don't like the extremist side of trans rights activism (the doxxing, death and rape threats, cancel culture side), but I find the red pill /incel/MRA movement much more abhorrent. I find the fact that the Wachowski sisters confirmed that The Matrix was an allegory for being trans *deeply satisfying *. I hope it made those incel dickheads choke.

I like people's meta essays and enthusiasm about Terry Pratchett's Discworld books more than I like the books themselves. I liked The Nome Trilogy most out of all his published works, and I feel like saying that in fandom circles would be the equivalent of mooning at a funeral.

I'd love to see the Rock in the final (?) Fast & Furious movie, but now that Vin Diesel's been how he's been, publicly, about it, I really hope the Rock doesn't give in. Don't reward that kind of behavior!

It's rare that a ship of mine sails in canon, but when it does, it usually ends up all wrong. Either the characters turn into the dumbest versions of themselves and it's frustrating to watch their relationship fumble around or one of them dies. It's been strongly hinted that one of my current ships may end up becoming canon and all my fellow shippers are celebrating, but I'm over here being cynical and wondering how the show's gonna screw it all up.

I like the idea of Garak being attracted to Bashir, but I hate the idea of the ship actually happening. Part of it is that Bashir is my least favorite DS9 character. But I also think the ship just wouldn't work, and I'm glad it was left as just hints of Garak's feelings.

I think Stephen Colbert is an amazing human being and a national treasure. I just wish he'd have more of his nerdy joy and less of the pointless sex jokes.

I really hate first-time stories in either media or fic. I'm not interested in watching inexperienced character fumble, but my biggest reason for avoiding it is that I hate the experienced man (or top in M/M)/inexperienced female (or bottom). And it is almost impossible to find stuff where it is either the other way around or both are equally inexperienced.

I get that people enjoy selfshipping and I support people doing what makes them happy. At the same time, posting about your anniversary with your anime 'husband,' complete with champagne, a sad little piece of cake and a heartfelt love note about how he holds you all night when you cry...maybe you should go touch some grass.

I've finally started watching Word of Honor (I'm currently watching episode 11 so no spoilers, please) and I have quite a thing for WKX, specifically because of all the red flags. He's a flirty manipulative dickhead and I love it.

The scene when he was trying to get ZZS to beg for his help did something to me.

I'm a bit disappointed in myself since I was kinda proud of loving LXC in The Untamed because he was so nice.

I'm afraid that I might end up liking TXJ if Immortality even gets released.

I don't usually pay much attention to trans AUs/headcanons. But I recently happened upon a Wizard of Oz book fic where Ozma remembered what it was like being a boy and spent some time every day dressed as a boy and imagining she still was one. And now I want fics where Ozma thinks of herself as both genders or is fully trans!male or any fics exploring how interesting gender would be for a character who canonically changed sex.
