It's an anime/manga called Shugo Chara! It's a shoujo series that focuses on a group of kids who act differently in public than how they really are, and so they're trying to figure out what their true self is with the help of eggs that are born from their heart. It's really cute! ♥

Yeah, my gf was in the fandom (using the term loosely) when it was airing - she said it was one of the most awesome fandoms she's been in. I just wish I could've been there - it's such an epic show...

The first time I saw this I was utterly convinced that Uncle Rubato was the secret villain, because the way I saw it he was keeping all those little singers captive in his home and only woke them up in order to force them to perform for his entertainment. Also I thought that Cadenza the cat was the one stealing everything, since my own cat is a little kleptomaniac.
