I wish the National Theatre would put on more humorous (or at least less depressing) plays. Drama doesn't have to be dismal and emotionally wrenching in order to be worthwhile art or good theatre.

I've been hearing bits of this really catchy song on YouTube shorts and I was pleased to have a new bit of music I like. Yesterday I found out it's Bo Burnham's song about Jeff Bezos. I'm so goddamn annoyed. There's only 56 seconds of this excellent song? And it's by a comedian I don't even like? I really need someone to make this into a full-length song. Something with a little more mid-song build-up towards "fuck their wives, drink their blood"... and/or a following cathartic "fuck you, Bezos" verse or two.

Yeah IDK why game companies are like "you know what will make my game really immersive? Making the player look away from the screen every few minutes. That'll do it"

Just let us do/create everything we need within the game, even if it's not automatically given to us

IDK, I think with a lot of things, the logic is that there's plenty of other spaces for things that are popular and happy and funny and commercially viable, whereas there may not be other places for things that are serious and dark. And I think there's some validity to that.

People who play artificially difficult games get what they get. Aimlessly wandering around in an open world game gives players a sense of accomplishment when they finally get to their destination or whatever goofy shit FromSoft developers say.
