Titanic is godawful. The iceberg is the unsung hero of that film.

I don't even understand how Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet were SO BAD in it. I'd seen them both in other good movies before. But that script was unsalvageable so it's not really their fault. The script is so bad. Attack of the Clones bad.

And the movie is focused on original characters who are wooden and thin and nowhere near as interesting as they could have been. If it had been about anyone else! The string quartet! The immigrants! The Astors! Molly Brown! Isador and Ida Straus!

I wish Jack and Rose would have been well-written enough to be characters I actually gave a fuck about, but they just weren't.

Any kind of bachelor/bachelorette 'reality' crap and, for that matter, 99.9% of all 'reality' crap.

"Reality" tv and any shows that are historical or historical adjacent that use it as an excuse to show rape and misogyny. More Galavant, please. Also, more and more I'm unable to stand copaganda. Procedurals used to be my tv bread and butter, but I just can't watch them anymore.

Manufactured Pop music. Not only is the music uninspiring and just plain boring, there's usually a fair amount of abuse and other fuckery going on behind the scenes.

My Sweet 16, Cribs, or any show like that. I don't want to see a bunch of spoiled children throwing hissy fits over First world rich kid problems, nor do I want to see how many bowling alleys Justin Beiber has in his basement.

South Park (I dislike it to start with, but also I had a really bad experience with some of it's fans)

One more local comic thing, my hatred of it and it's fandom was so bad, that I've blocked some of my mutuals over it.

Sadly, because I was in book fandom for a long time, but Good Omens. I didn't like the show, it was painfully made like it's from 2012 at best, I dislike their choice of cast and then fandom did the rest.

Schlocky B horror movies. I'm okay with extreme gore, body horror, and reprehensible acts as long as the plot at least tries to be good. But if you put them in something that's only there to make you go "ewww!" as you laugh and eat popcorn, not only will it make me sick, but it's also more likely to give me nightmares and feel a sense of existential gloom than when it's "good."

Resent years it seems that there is more and more shows set in the past. It's often written of as nostalgia, but I call bullshit. I think it's just showrunners excuse for the sexism and misogyny and homophobia and a lack of diversity and I fucking hate it.

Also "reality" TV. It's deceptive, morally reprehensible and has no redeeming values. It disgusts me. I refuse to watch it.

The biggest amount of hate I can garner towards a one single piece of media is my eternal hateboner for the TV show Bones, because how Brennan's character was written. At first she was very not good with children and was markedly not at all interested in having children, and I felt represented. But then she had to want to be a mother because that's what every woman ever wants and *rage*.

Haruki Murakami's books. Fucking awful all around and pretentious as fuck.
I have a lot of bitter memories of this because I was studying Japanese at university in the early 2010s' and EVERY STUDENT was in love with his books. Almost all conversations around Japanese literature were around him and it was soooo boring.
Bonus: His books' translations in my native language are EXCELLENT and I'm still angry that a great translator was wasted for those shitty stories.

The entire Civil War and Infinity Saga arcs of the MCU, otherwise known in my head as Uncivil Dick-Measuring and the Saga of Infinite Stupidity. I could have dealt with the storylines if PTB hadn't chosen such goatfucking stupid ways of telling them. Instead they took a bunch of amazing actors and basically played 'my dad can beat up your dad!' with million-dollar budgets.
